Cassidy's POV
This is one of the most frightening things I've had to do in my life. How will I confidently move into a room where my ex-husband and best friend are fawning over their new baby when I suffered bareness for two years?
I'm supposed to be happy for them, but I find it hard to even fake it. Taking deep breaths, I calm my racing heart and push open the door.
When I step into the room, Richmond is sitting beside Claire on the bed. They both notice my presence immediately after I step into the room.
"Cassidy," Richmond calls. From his tone, I can tell that he's surprised.
I greet them with a high-pitched and overly cheerful, "Hello!"
With a forced smile on my face, I move to the bed where Claire is carrying her baby.
