Jules Mia left an hour ago, after talking nonstop about Conner and how shady he had been acting for a couple of days now. I smiled, remembering the conversation I had with him yesterday when I met with him after work, about wanting to do something nice to surprise her for her birthday, and to propose. As I cooked dinner, I couldn't help but smile, thinking about how pleasantly surprised Mia would be. The thing about gestures like that were how incredibly sweet they were. But if Conner kept making Mia worry like this, she was not only going to get suspicious that something was going on but also catch on. I stirred the sauce on the stove, shaking my head with a small laugh. Poor Conner, trying to be romantic while accidentally giving Mia an anxiety attack. This was classic for Conner
