Chapter Five: ChangeWhen Nala wakes up, she's confused for a moment about where she is because it's bright outside the window and Daddy's not around. It takes her a second to remember the doctor's visit that morning and Daddy putting her in her crib for an out-of-schedule nap.
Her cheeks burn red at the memory.
She spares an uneasy thought about what's going to happen once Daddy comes and get her. She peers out through the slats of her crib and considers pretending to go to sleep again, but she's so bored. She hates being alone in here with nothing to do.
"Daddy," she whimpers through her pacifier, knowing that his Werewolf hearing would have no difficulty picking up her whines. "Daddy!" She cries out again when he doesn't come for him immediately.
He rushes into the room with a bottle
