Chapter Four: Sweet TouchesThe first time she gets a bath is also the first time she panics and reaches out for him, calling out, "Daddy!" without thinking because the water is really high up her chin and he's turning his back to her to get something and she's scared.
"Daddy!" she cries again, drinking in a mouthful of water and coughing, panicking even more now that she has the icky water in her mouth. She starts crying even though he's already turned back around and is pulling her out of the water, hugging her tight even though she's getting him all wet.
"Shh... It's okay, baby. Daddy's got you. Shh..." he coos, sounding all-too-pleased with himself.
