Chapter Seven: New HomeTime gets a little floaty. she's not sure how long she's in the car before it's slowing to a stop and they're parked in a decent-sized house. She's lifted inside and she can see that they're surrounded by nothing but trees. She glimpses white walls and glass windows and then her head gets all fuzzy and dizzy, so she closes her eyes and tries to go back to sleep. Alexander carries her into the house easily, lifting her into his arms and carrying her past the long hallways and into a bedroom. She groans as he lowers her into what seems to be an over-sized crib. "You be good for your Daddy, okay?" he presses a kiss to her brow and then wipes her brow with something that smells vaguely like peaches and alcohol wipe. She sleeps again. ... She must be hallucinating. S
