Chapter One: Baby GirlCain wakes with a jolt, as he does most mornings nowadays because he's always in a rush to get to his baby girl. He should really move the crib into his room, but he worries that she's not ready for that just yet. All the books warn him against getting her so attached so early in their relationship. It would make her surrender that much sweeter later on. He's only gotten her for a few weeks and he's absolutely smitten already. It's hard not to be when she's so perfect.
