“It’s about time they came” said an frustrated Lisa
“At less they came after he left and not while he was still here”
“That’s so true Lena”
“Welcome to Grants Real Estate” Lena greeted
“Hello I’m Officer Carter and this is Officer Green, we’re here about a problem that was called in not to long ago”
“Yes, Hi my name is Lisa Grant. My ex boyfriend has been harassing me for the last month, but today he came here and pinned me against the wall in the lobby. Meanwhile I had a client in my office”
“So you’re saying he’s harassing you. Things like what?” asked Officer Green
“Things like calling my office, showing up in the parking lot, oh he threaten me, and putting his hands on me. Can I put a restraining order on him?”
“What did he say to threaten you?” asked Officer Carter
“He said quote “You’re gonna be mine again rather you like it or not and he had an evil grin on his face. I’ve never seen him act this way”
“Ok, what is his name ma’am? asked Officer Green
“Aaron Smith”
“Ok, when did you too break up or how long has it been?”
“It’s been over a month now and he keeps trying to get back together. It’s not going to happen!”
“Ok. Ms. Grant we’ll get started on filing the restraining order out on him and you shouldn’t have to worry about him anymore. Just come by the precinct tomorrow”
“Thank you so much officer's” Lisa was relieved that she didn’t have to worry about Aaron anymore. But, what was so important that he flipped out on her? She tried to shake it off but, she just keeps thinking about it. In her office on the computer looking up houses for Markat her phone rings. She looks at the screen and it shows Aaron’s number, so she pushes ignore. Then she receives a voicemail on her phone. “It’s from Aaron, I wonder what he wants now” Lisa thinks to herself
“Hi, baby I’m so sorry for reacting like that today, but you wouldn’t listen to me. Well here it goes; I know why Tryvincia came to your house to talk to you. She calms she’s pregnant by me. Lisa please don’t get mad baby, I don’t think it’s mine. I just wanted to tell you before anyone else did. I love you and I didn’t mean to hurt you. Can you call me so we can talk please? Bye Lisa”
“What the f**k does he mean he doesn’t think it’s his. Either it is or it’s not. Men are stupid and do stupid things. I will never date again, never, never again will a man hurt me, never again” Lisa yelled at the phone in her hand. Lisa was so heart broken by this news. She couldn’t believe her ears. Yeah she wasn’t getting back with him, but she still loved him and it hurt. He was the only man she had loved that long other than her daddy. For four years she wanted to give Aaron a baby, but her career always came first. How could she be a mother, when she was in school and so close to her goal. Then she opened her business and things were a little rough. As years went on, business got better. At one period of time it was crazy hours. No real breaks, just a snack or two for the whole day. Once she started hiring help things started rolling kind of smoothly. But, she went through assistants like they grew on trees. About six months ago, she found the right person for the job. She found Lena Martinez. She was the best assistant she could have asked for out of them all. She just knew thing would work out. Then maybe she could give him a baby that they both wanted for years. But, not anymore. Not after what he did to her and now she was pregnant. He was about to have a baby by some w***e he meet at a party. She needed someone to talk to she felt hopeless. She didn’t know what to do anymore. She needed to move on with her life. But, how, when, with who?
“Lisa is it ok that I leave early today” Lena peeking her head in the doorway.
“Sure Lena that’s cool”
“You okay sweetie”
“Yeah I’ll be ok, I might leave early too”
“Ah okay, you look like you have a lot on your mind. You need to go home and relax, you don’t have any more meeting today”
“Yeah I know, but it’s only three in the evening”
“True, but when have you been away from here around this time. not working or with a client?”
“I guess you’re right, I can do my work at home in the bed, that even sounds nice”
“See, well I see you tomorrow ma’am”
“Bye Lena see you in the morning daring”
“Bye don’t work to hard and don’t be here all day”
“I’m leaving in a minute”
“You're minute turns into an hour, an hour into two, then so on and so on”
“Whatever, get out”
“So now you putting me out, fine I quit”
“Sure, whatever, see you in the morning silly”
“Bye honey”
“Oh I put the sign on my desk with the bell, just in case someone comes in before you leave”
“Thanks, now leave and go enjoy your early day off”
“Bye sweetie, enjoy yourself too”
Lisa started back looking up homes for her clients, she had started getting clientele. She had finally started seeing her hard work come forward through the years. Her career was going wonderful, but her love life was becoming a nightmare in the making. If only she could wake up from it. “Ding, dong, ding” someone was ringing the bell on Lena’s desk. She got up to see who was out in the lobby.
“Yes, may I help you ma’am”
“Yes I was looking for Ms. Lisa Grant”
“I’m Ms. Grant may I help you” asking the person in front of her.
