The first thing Tristan did when he woke up from his full-day slumber was to go see Phoebe. After hearing she hadn’t woken up all this time, he really wanted to have a look at her. The door was left unlocked and he walked inside carefully. The huge red velvet curtains were parted to reveal a sliver of sunlight coming in, framing her pale face. Her body was much smaller than he remembered and she looked like a phantom that could disappear at any time. She was like a log drifting on an ocean on her bed and that was depressing to see.
