Earth's Treasures Shop

Getting out of the palace was a big ordeal. The prince kept glaring blatantly at Leonard as he brought out what he had organized for her. Her response was an inhuman screech which made them all deaf for a few minutes. It wasn’t like she was human, but still…… She peppered him with kisses and bone-crushing hugs which he wouldn’t have minded or even enjoyed on a normal day. However, on this day, sweat kept pouring down his back as he was stared down by those intense emerald eyes. Joseph saw him at the exit since he was waiting for him, with a gloomy atmosphere. “She didn’t like her gift?” He asked, horrified. “No, not that. Did you know the Prince was in there?” “Yeah. I thought since he was there, you’d be safe from Yasmine’s assault” Joseph saw the stain of lipstick all over his cheeks and smelt the faint scent of Yasmine’s perfume. “Apparently I was wrong. Did something happen?” “He just glared at me the whole time. He probably has a misunderstanding that I’m dating his sister or something. Are the royals forbidden from dating humans? Does he think we have taboo love? Joseph, you’ve got to help me clear this up and explain you’re the love interest!” He received a chop on his head from Joseph and sulked with his hand on his head like a puppy that had been kicked.  “Stop being so dramatic” “That really hurt Joseph” “Shut up! For the last time, I and Yasmine are not like that!” “But a butler princess relationship is perfect. I find it strange that she has a butler instead of a personal maid” “Well, all the maids would rather jump off a cliff than serve Yasmine. I would like to say this is an exaggeration but I’ve seen it happen twice” “I know Yasmine is scary but it’s not that bad” “There’s a reason why Yasmine always gets what she wants. You’re the only one that can make her dance to your tune. You’re the special one bro” “Aw, that’s so sweet…...hey! Don’t try to make me into the love interest!” “You fit the bill perfectly. What was it you said, taboo love? Isn’t that more tantalizing than a butler princess story?” “Argh! It’s so infuriating that I can’t argue with you!” Joseph chuckled and got into the truck. Leonard got into the passenger’s seat and the car started moving.  “There is no such rule as far as I know off and the prince would not be against it. He’s an angel compared to Yasmine, even though he’s a bit weird” “Isn’t the whole royal family weird?” The truck became silent as they briefly glanced at each other. “You can be considered a traitor if you talk like that you know” “You said it first~~” “Get out!” Joseph drove away faster than Leonard could wave goodbye. He still did it anyway. He lived amongst the townhouses in a small bungalow left for him by his father. Like him, his father was a wanderer and he was a result of his one-night stands with one of his father’s many love interests. She wasn’t interested in raising a child but Dean was quite responsible so he took in the child and raised him. Showed him the wonders of the world and found him a place to settle in the Tribe of Sienne. The bungalow was a nice place to live, with a picket fence surrounding it, a little garden in front, and a yard out back he used to test most of his discoveries. He also had an underground cellar and a little lab which appeared as a shack.  The house was painted green and blended perfectly with the aesthetics of the werewolf tribe. He lived next to Mark, a single wolf who was his father’s long-time friend.  “I’m home” he said as soon as he stepped in. The silence greeted him. The house was just as he left it, various artifacts from different parts of the world hanging from his walls and furniture he got from the unique technology of the Elves.  The furniture had many intricate patterns in which spells were carefully etched in. Unlike all his treasures, the furniture was a gift from his father. There was a lone picture hanging in the living room, which was an old picture of young Leonard, his father, and Mark, all smiling brightly while shirtless. Leonard looked just like Dean. Dropping his bag on the armchair, he went into the bathroom. Stripping, his impressive naked body came to view. Because of his numerous trips, his skin was tan and lean but filled with muscles. Scars snaked up his arms and stopped short when they reached his elbows.  His ripped chest sported a particularly large scar on his left breast, which looked like claw marks. He lowered his body into the bathtub that magically filled with heated water and sighed in relief. The tension that knotted in his muscles slowly loosened and he hummed in delight.  He finished his bath, brushed his teeth, and dressed up for the day. His work uniform was a white shirt with sleeves rolled up to his elbow, dark blue pants, and sneakers. He combed his short brown hair, his piercings showing as he raised his hair above his ears. They were beautiful silver earrings that curled around his slightly pointed helix.  When he came out of the house, Mark was leaving too. Since they were headed in the same direction, he went in Mark’s sedan.  “Uncle Mark?” “Hmm?” “Can you tell me about the prince?” “Hmm. Well, this is unexpected. Did you meet him?” “Yeah. He was glaring at me though” “Hun. Did you show him one of those weird toys you got from the dwarves?” “No! You found those because the s*x shop asked me to get it! You need to stop rummaging through my store whenever you get the chance, Uncle Mark” “Maybe I should get one of those toys and gift it to her?” Mark ponders, rubbing his chin. He got a horrified look in return from Leonard. “Weren’t you the one who was afraid of her skinning you for not getting a present?” “A present is better than nothing” “I think I can totally see why you and dad are friends” Mark’s laughter filled in the car as they drove to the trade center. The trade center was a huge mall that contained all the businesses that ran in Sienne Tribe.  The Earth’s Treasures shop was located on the third floor, in a standard-size space. It had glass doors with spell security from the Elven Engineer Leonard was acquainted with and the inside was pretty clear as well. There were rows of shelves filled with various trinkets and books Leonard had procured on his travels. The checkout counter was located at the back of the shop and a door which led to the small store where he kept new arrivals when there was no space on the shelves. Like his house, the shop was given to him by his dad and after managing it for many years, he had come to like it.
