NORA'S POV
"Why are we here mom?....is aunty Jade back?" Duke asked as soon as I parked in front of Jade's apartment complex.
"Yes honey, she got back yesterday" I replied him calmly as I unbuckled is seat belt and carried him out of the car.
"Yehhhh!" He screamed in excitement. " I can't wait to see her" he added as he ran off towards her apartment.
"Be careful Duke, you might hurt yourself" I said out loud as I shut the door and followed him behind.
It feels soo good to know that Jade is an important part of his life. Jade and Jason , they are literally the only family that Duke knows and I don't even feel bad about it. Well I used to, but then, what can I do? I'm supposed to be grateful for the few people that we have.
