The realization that Nora must have taken my love for granted dawned on me. She probably already had another lover, hence why she ended things with me.
She never really loved me, that had been my conclusion after I left Jason's place that day. But then, why didn't he tell me about it? I understand that he was trying to protect my feelings but he should have still brought it up still.
Imagine how I felt when the child ran to Nora, calling her mommy. I am pretty sure that my heart had paused for a few seconds.
I let out a loud sigh as I walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around my waist. It was finally grandma's retirement party today and I would be picking up Olivia from her house.
