Ruined morning

f**k, it feels good to have Fi on my bike. I didn't want to leave my house this morning. Things have shifted between us and I want to explore it. But damn Tony had to go and get into a fight with an undercover cop. I want to kill him for ruining my morning. I wanted to spend as much time with Fi, before we had church this morning. Now I have a pissed off police chief that looks the other way with some of the bonds we bring in.

When we get to her house I walk her in because I don’t want to say good-bye yet. Once inside she plugs her phone in and grabs her mail on the counter to start going through. I decided to come up behind her and wrap my arms around her waist. I love touching her. “ Sloan, what are we doing?” I rest my chin on her shoulder and reply, “ We are going to see where this takes us. We see each other out of work, at work we will keep it under wraps but it doesn’t mean that if I’m in my office or at my station I won’t be texting you.” How is this? After work today I’ll bring the girls over and have pizza for dinner. We can talk then.” I kiss her cheek because I have to get ready to leave. “Ok we will talk tonight.”

I give her one more quick kiss and head out so I can do damage control. I can’t wait till tonight when I can really kiss her. On the way to the clubhouse I decided to send her flowers for her desk. I just hope I don’t have to head out for the club anytime soon.

When I get to the clubhouse Brandi is cleaning up, she is one the club whores who actually does s**t around the club. The club voted to hire her to clean the clubhouse, she is basically the maid/ housekeeper. I know the prospect Brad has a thing for her. I called out to her “Brandi bring the chief and I coffee in my office, please.” She looks up at me, “Sure, I’ll be right in.” With that I head to my office to deal with Chief Ramsey. I open the door and the Chief is waiting for me. “Chief, how are you today? Brandi will be bringing us some coffee in a few.” Just as I say this Brandi walks in with the coffee. “Brandi shut the door on the way out.”Once the door is shut, I ask the chief “What happened?” An hour later the Chief and I are shaking hands. “I’ll take care of him Chief and again I’m sorry for this.” I have time to make a quick phone call before church.

When everyone arrives for our weekly meeting, I decide to address the Tony issue before regular business. “Tony will be sitting in the drunk tank under the watchful eye of Chief Ramsey for the next 24 hrs., at which point he will be turned over to us. Tony then will not be leaving the clubhouse until I say. That means Ax you need to find someone to cover his shifts at the garage.” Ax nods his agreement. “Any questions before we move on?” That’s when Gage pops up “What exactly did he do?” “ He was so drunk last night that he hit on an undercover female officer, then proceeded to take a piss in an alleyway in front of her. When her partner who was watching her back tried to arrest him, he threw a punch.” There was a collective round of what an i***t around the table and I can’t say I disagree.

“Gage, any new cases at Torino’s?” Torino’s is our bail bonds and collection office. Some double as a bail bondsman. I am praying all is quiet for now. “Well we got a runner in the last 24 hrs., he jumped state lines and may have his under age girlfriend with him. Any guesses as to where they are headed?” I already know but I need confirmation “Let me guess she turns 18 in the next few days right?” Gage smiles and nods. s**t they are headed for Vegas. “What are his charges?” Gage passes me the sheet, drugs, theft, and assault. “Keep me posted.” “Will do boss.” he replies. “Any other business that needs to be discussed?”
