Monstrous Jonas

King Jonas was sitting right in his throne and Magnifico was standing beside him, at the left side of his throne. Behind his right side was a very big cage where he kept his lions, he purposely kept them hungry sometimes to make their taste for blood to always increase. Any deserter that is caught in Alaphas was forced right into the cage and the lions feed off him. Though recently, Alaphas haven’t been killing deserters because they drastically reduced in numbers since Magnifico arrived and was fighting alongside with them.

“ I will be going to war with the Dreeks, they have what our country needs and we need to take it from them. I plan on fighting them this week but this is my birth month, so I would be merciful” King Jonas said as he laughed “Muuhahahaha”.

“I am going to send them a letter first and tell them that we need three tonnes of salt and 10,000 liters of fine wine for my birthday” he added.

King Jonas wanted this to be delivered in three days after the letter has been sent to the king of Dreeks. This was barely a week the people of Dreeks delivered two tonnes of salt to the kingdom of Alaphas. The Dreeks' king, Munah got the request but he told the messenger to tell the Alaphas king Jonas that he won’t be able to deliver those items in such short notice, but if more time would be given to them, they will definitely deliver them. The messenger left the Dreeks at once and rode back home to deliver the message to his King. When he arrived at the palace, he knelt before the king and gave a report of the message the Dreeks' king sent.

“You mean the foolish King told you this? Muhahaha!! And you had the stupid guts to deliver this empty message to me?” said King Jonas.

Magnifico who was standing right beside the king drew out his sword and chopped off the messenger’s head. King Jonas wondered why the King of Dreeks would want a death wish from him. He considered what Derek’s king said to be very rude to him and he promised to destroy his kingdom and bring the King’s head as a gift to his birthday party.

“We will strike at night, the people of Dreeks need to feel the taste of our beautiful swords, they will need to understand that nobody plays with a tail of a lion; sleeping or dead. We will use them to prove to the other provinces, that nobody steps on my toes without feeling the warmth of my skin. If the Dreeks king needs a bath, blood would certainly be the best chill for him. said king Jonas as he raises his sword in admiration. Everyone in started hailing King Jonas “ Long live the king, long live the king, long live the king”.

It was already midnight when the southern gate of Dreeks started getting hit with massive explosions, oil bombs, fire works and all sort of weapons the Alaphas soldiers came with. It was a war and it was no surprise to the Dreeks who was behind the invasion.

“Alaphas, they are here” a soldier shouted as he rushes to come down from the tower he was posted to.

The Dreeks had no powerful firepower to repel such an attack, they solely depended on their swords and arrows. They were not known for fighting. They were a very peaceful kingdom yet they wouldn’t want to leave their kingdom to be taken by anyone.

“Oneeee, twoooo, threeee” the Alaphas armies was shouting as the eastern gate was being bombarded and torn apart.

“Kill them all, r**e their women and don’t forget to bring me the King’s head, show no mercy but leave the babies” said Jonas.

“No, spare no one” Magnifico added.

Maginifo drew his sword and swung into actions. He went on a killing spree as though he is doing something he really enjoys, he fought with ease and also hacked lots of soldiers to death. The king of Dreeks saw the giant soldier approaching and killing every obstacle that may seem to cross his part. The king knew that he will certainly be the next target so he sent his wife and daughter with a soldier who was to accompany them outside the palace through the south gate to escape as far as they can from Dreeks. The wife refused to run as instructed by the husband and she said she rather die along side with him but the king wouldn’t take this lightly so he used his sword's head to hit his wife right behind her neck region, close to her scapula and she fainted at once. He then instructed his trusted soldier to run as far west as they could with the fastest horse available and never to return. He pleaded with the soldier to take care of his wife and his little daughter as though they are his. The king also kissed his daughter and gave her his blessings before she ran off with the solider and also her mother who was also taken along side with them.

The king of Dreeks moved directly towards Magnifico to strike him down, maybe he thought he stood a chance but no one has ever survived Magnifico’s fighting skills for more than two minutes except General Sun. Magnifico saw the King running with a sword towards him.

“what a stupid idea!”

He clenched his left hand tightly and smashed away the King’s sword and also used his right claw to hit the King directly on his fermural region, this toppled the king over to the floor and teared his skin. He raised his powerful left foot to smash the King’s skull into pieces but the king was lucky enough to roll on the floor and Magnifico missed; Magnifico smashed the floor instead. King Jonah came in and instructed Magnifico to stop and he walked up to King Munah and said “You see what your arrogance had caused you? If you had remained my humble servant, all these wouldn’t have happened. I used to like you, you’ve always been loyal but I don’t know what came over you.” King munah was already tired but he managed to stand up in anger and in sever pain.

“you are a MONSTER but remember, nothing lasts forever. Death is like water, which every soul must surely taste. I assure you all these won’t go unpunished” Munah said as he spits on Jonas face.

Jonas, who was trying as much as he could to comport himself, lost his cool. He had no choice but to take Magnifico's sword and cut off Muna's head. They took some few people from Dreeks as slaves and many women as concubines. They took with them tonnes of salt, oil, all the food reserve Dreeks' people have in stores. Dreeks' soldiers who refused to bow for King Jonas was killed instantly and those that agreed to bow to him, are allowed to leave and fight for the King. At this point, King Jonas with the help of Magnifico was accumulating weapons, building a powerful Army, rumors about Magnifico, and Jonas was spreading so fast and most kingdoms started bracing themselves up for the worst.

They headed back home but before they left, they painted the walls of Dreeks with the inscription “Death upon our enemies” “Death upon any worthy challenger.”

They deliberately wrote this because they want to make their atrocities to be noticed by all that may see the paintings and inscriptions on the wall.
