My few weeks back at work had gone smoothly in terms of the work portion, but our lives were much more hectic. Two working parents caring for an infant was harder than either of us ever knew. We were waking up earlier, tired after sleepless nights, leaving more time for mishaps (baby puke down the front of your blouse as you're leaving for the daycare, anyone?), and overall having a lot more to do.
