Chapter 22: WHY?

"Giving up?" Lovely said while I was on the floor catching my breath. I decided to learn how to self-defend in case of danger. I don't always want to be by my side. I said, I almost forgot the foundation week. "You can visit our school if you want" I said to Lovely, "I will think about it. If I do not do anything for tomorrow, I'll go" she said. Aside from taekwando, she also taught me boxing, without gloves, just a bandaid in her hands. She teaches me about my tolerance of pain. On how will I take it? She said that even though I can feel a pain I shouldn't give up. Mind over body. When you are thinking about giving up, your body will follow.

Since it's awkward, I left her. We are here in her office. She has a gym here. She said that she customized her office and a gym for her to be able to work for her body, not just her mind. Lovely said while I was looking at the board. She tapped my shoulder and smiled, ''Don't worry, I will find everything about their death.'' She said. I didn't know that my parents broke up a long time ago and received a letter threatening their relationship. That's how serious their life is. I was born without my father because of that. I didn't even know about that, now I get it. The reason why there are no wedding pictures in our house is because they just had a secret wedding. I didn't even know that Tita Lavinia was my mom's best friend and was adopted by my mom's parents. I have lots of information that I just know now. Why do they need to hide this from me or do they just have no time to explain all of this since they are gone? Did they expect that this would happen?

''I can see that you have lots of questions. You can come here every day. You can help me with my case for you also to find out who killed your parents. You know that I have a suspect.'' She said. I looked at her with a question and she looked at the board, pointing out who it was. ''No, it can't be.'' I said, I don't want to believe it because I know that is not true. ''I'm still digging about it, Annie. I am still not sure as long as there is no main evidence about it. I will not conclude it.'' Lovely said. She gets her coffee and drinks it. ''I called Kyo to fetch you now. I can come with you. I have something else to do now.'' I just nodded. What will I do later? I can sense that it is awkward to be with Kyo after what he did in the amusement park. I can't even look at his face. I can remember what happened last night. ''He is here Annie.'' She said got my bag and said goodbyes to Lovely and went to the parking lot. As I walk down, he is standing near the car, his hands are in his pockets, wearing a white polo and black trousers. Why is he wearing that? He looks handsome. I shrugged myself, what am I even thinking right now?
