Chapter 23: Home

"Why?" I snapped when Kyo was looking at me questionably. I just shrugged and put my bag on the back and sat on the passenger. He just got into the car and drove off. The whole trip was silent and I also don't have to talk to him right now. I didn't notice our way and I knew that this was not our way to their home. "Where are we going?" I said to Kyo. He just remained silent and drove off. He didnt even bother to look at me. It's getting me irritated right now. After a long trip, he got out of his car and opened my car door. "Where are we?!" I said. I was about to say something when I saw in my peripheral vision the ocean. We are at the beach right now. The beach is so beautiful and peaceful. All I can here are waves and the sounds of the trees waving through the air. I can also hear birds tweeting. I ran towards the water so much excited my pants were wet. I didn't bother about that. It's been a long time since I went to the beach and I didn't know that this place had still not changed. I remember when I was a child, we usually came over here with our mom and dad. This is our getaway place. I believe that I write something on a specific tree here. I will look into it. "How do you know this place?" I said to Kyo, "When I am lonely or need some time to think, I just come here to cool down." He said and smiled at me, " I know you were busy lately and I can see that you are so stressed. I'm sorry if I didn't answer you back earlier. I just want to tease you. You are really cute when you are irritated." He said, because of that I punched him on his arm. "Ouch!" he said while laughing.

"OMG KYO! PUT ME DOWN!" When I was going to turn around, He lifted me and I looked like a sack of rice right then. "WIEEE!" I am now wet because of him. He put me down on the sea and before I got up the wave reached me. I am now catching my breath because I think I drank sea water. "YOU!" I ran towards Kyo but he ran to the other direction. We were like kids chasing. I miss this kind of feeling. "HAHAHAHAHAHA LET'S STOP RUNNING!" He said while keeping his breathing and lying down on the sand. Looking at the sky. I am standing next to him and looking at him. He is wet and I can see his body because he is just wearing a white polo. He removed the buttons and looked at me. He smirked and pulled me towards him. He put his arms on my head. We are now both lying down on the sand. I don't want to look at the right side because I will see his face. We are too close to each other, it's like 2 inches from my face to his face. I can even feel his body the way he breathes.

"Are you happy right now, Annie?" He said and looked at me. I can see him at my side. I smiled without even looking at him, " Yes, I am happy." Kyo never fails to make an effort for me, even though I wasn't able to give him that. He didn't expect to return and I didn't even ask him to do that, but giving his time to me, I can appreciate it. I was about to tell him how grateful I stood when he stood and gave his hand to me, "come on, there is something I want to show you." I just gave him my hand and let Kyo lead the way. We were going in different directions to the sea. "We are near could" He said, and I could see the lighthouse from here. Could "wait, it's out of order!" He didn't mind what I said, and pulled me inside. He supported me on the stairs because it's kinda old. When we reached the top, I was mesmerized by the sight of the sky. It's now sunset and I can see everything here, even the sand that we laid down earlier. "Isn't it beautiful?" I realized that this is our second sunset together. "This is my additional place other than car racing. My hobby is also photography and this is the best spot where you can capture the details of the sky". I didn't know that it didn't have that kind of hard side. I still don't know anything about kyo.

"Thank you Kyo." I said and he looked at me and I also looked at him. This is the first time that I saw his face. He had brown eyes, had a pointed nose and red lips. As I looked at his face, he was inch by inch towards me and I could feel his breathing. Is he going to kiss me? Do I need to close my eyes? I closed my eyes and after minutes of waiting, I closed his lips on me. He was smiling and wide when I opened my eyes out of embarrassment, I slapped him and walked away. "Annie, wait! I'm sorry!" He said and followed me. I want to drown in the sea right now because of embarrassment. I ran towards the other direction, trying to be far away from him. I don't want to see him. I cant believe that I did that. I ran and ran, as I ran I didnt know that I was now in the forest. I know this place. I am familiar with this, but I know this is the place where I wrote something on the tree when I was a child. It's getting dark now and all that I have is my phone. I look at my phone but there is no signal and I only have 30% of the battery. Now what will I go to do? I'm in the middle of nowhere because of the embarrassment. I decided to lie down under the tree. I wouldn't mind sleeping here, and I have my knife here. I always need to bring this because I know there is someone who is in there wanting me to be dead. Now I am thinking about Kyo. If he is looking for me, he might be in danger and I still don't have a signal right now. That's why I don't know where he is or what he is doing right now.

KYO'S P.O.V

Annie slapped me and she ran away. I can still see her but she is running away toward the forest. "ANNIE DON'T GO THERE!" I think she heard me. I ran as fast as I could but when I entered the forest I didn't see Annie, "Damn it!" I said and punched the tree. Since I am the one who did this, I am thinking about how I will be going to dine with her. I look at the things that I have here. I only have my phone and car keys. I used my phone for a flashlight. Good thing I charged my phone before I fetched Annie. I walked and walked until I saw her lying down under the tree. Good thing I know this place because I lost it here when I was a child. This tree is also the one that saved me. When I moved my feet towards her, she stood up and put me down, pointing her knife to my neck, "woah, Annie!" She came back to her senses when she realized that it was me. "Sorry Kyo" she said and sat down, calming herself.

I tapped her head and sat down near her, "I think you are too harsh on yourself." I said to her, " that's why I am pulling you to places that you can enjoy. I know that you have your life in your hands, but don't forget to live.." I said and looked at her. I held her face and slowly came to her face. "live, Annie". I saw her tears falling. I wiped it and wiped her eyes. She closed her eyes, and now I can stop myself from kissing her lips. But I can't. I would respect her. That's why I kissed her forehead and hugged her. "Let's go home."
