Chapter 4: Shining Heart

After the 'deep' talk with Gill, he left me. And I choose to stay to think about what he said earlier. After an hour, I decided to go down. I didn't attend my class today. A good thing is just an orientation.

''Annie, where have you been?'' I heard Jenlyn's voice.

‘We've been looking for you, Annie,'' Zyreel said.

‘’I'm sorry to worry you guys. I just went outside school and calmed myself down.'' Zyreel immediately hugged me and also

Jenlyn.

’The next time that Kyle goes to you, I’ll punch him.’’ My wide eyes looked at her

''Jenlyn, no!'' Zyreel laughed after I said that.

''What's funny, Zy?!’’

‘’If you just saw your face, it’s priceless!’’

''Oh, stop, you guys! You are making fun of me!'' We both laughed and decided to go outside after that. Gill is right. I have precious jewels in my hand.

''What a day,'' Jenlyn said while looking at the sky.

''It's our first day, and now we have lots of school work,'' Zyreel said while looking at her notes.

''I didn't know about school work'' I said. I thought they would not give me any school work now, since it was just the first day.

''Don't worry, here are your notes. I will also write yours.''

''THANK YOU, ZY!!'' I hugged her again.

''No worries, girl, I got you! Anyways, I have already told you what our agenda is for today. Let's go, guys!'' She is pulling us

to her car, and I immediately stopped Zyreel.

''Hep! Hep! Hep! What did I say a while ago? I don't want a NO for an answer.'' She said.

''Calm down, Zy, I brought my car, grandma insists,'' I said while pointing at my car. Who will drive it if I go to Zyreel?

''Oh, don't worry, my driver will drive it to your house. And Jen, you have your driver, right?''

''I already called him.''

''So it's settled then, let's go. I dri―''

''No, I drive the car. Give me the keys.'' Jenlyn said, well, we don't want Zyreel to drive her car because the last time she did it, we left our souls on the road. We don't want that to happen again. Zyreel pouts and surrenders her key to Jen.

''It's okay, Zy. I will let you drive me to my home.'' After I said it, she hugged me so tight.

''Ahckk― I couldn't breathe, Zy.''

''I'm sorry, you are so cute!'' She taps my head and pulls me to her car.

*Zyreel’s ringtone*

‘’Zy, your phone.’’ I said, ‘’You get into the car first. Wait for me, I’ll just answer this call.’’

''Where's Zy?'' Jenlyn said. I point to Zyreel, who looks so worried, holding her phone. Is there something that

happened?

''Don't worry, Annie, maybe it's just a little problem,'' Jenlyn said. How did she know what I was thinking?

‘’You know that I can read your face.’’ She said while smirking.

‘’Oh gosh!’’ Zyreel said while entering her car.

''What happened, Zy?'' I said, ''Mom is busy right now, she has an emergency flight to Paris, and she said that I should be the one who will handle the fashion show this coming July.''

''Well, that's good news for you. We both know how you love fashion shows, and you have your own talents,'' I said.

''Yeah! I already know that, but what is pissing me off is that mom left without any reminder of what I will have for fashion week.'' She seems so problematic about it, and I think she is under pressure since it is her first fashion event.

''We will help you, Zy,'' Jen said and started the car.

''I still don't have any idea about this fashion show. I am pressured since this is my first time.''

''Don't worry, Zy, we know you can do it. First, we will help you think about it, and then you can dress us whatever you

desire.'' After I said that, she immediately held my hand, and I could see her eyes were

twinkling because of what I said.

''No more turning back, I heard what you said. I can dress you whatever I desire?'' I think it's time for her own good to help them since they are always helping me. I wanted to support them the way they kept me.

''Of course, Zy, it's true,'' I said while smiling.

''Oh, thank you, Annie! You made my day. I am happy!''

‘’So stop worrying, Zy, I'm sure you will nail that fashion week,'' Jen said and smiled at us.

''I hope you know that I don't want my mom to disappoint me,'' Zyreel said.

Since she was the only child, Zyreel was known as the only daughter of a famous fashion designer, and her mom expected too much from her. At a young age, she was taught how to sew. The good thing is she knows how to do it very well. While her mom is known as a famous designer, her dad is a well-known actor. Her family is very famous because of her mom and dad, and as a daughter, she continues her parents' legacy. Aside from being a student and fashion designer, she is also an artist and model.

''Good thing you don't have a schedule for your next drama,'' I said. I know she will have a new telenovela scene. She is the

villain. Well, her appearance says it all.

''Yeah, my mom told my director that I should act my scene after July fashion week, and they agreed on that.'' What a hectic schedule.

''We are here.'' We are now looking at Ribanis' building.

''Good day, madam, your mother called us, and she said she has a crucial meeting.'' One of her assistants said that. We are walking towards her office, ''I already know that her secretary called me. I am the one who will be in charge of this event. Give me all the papers that I need to read regarding this. After that we will have a sudden meeting later, understand?''

''Yes, madam.''

''I will first think about what our time will be. No one will enter this room until I say so.''

''So what's our plan, Annie?'' Zyreel asked me, my wide eyes looking at her because of her questions.

''Why me?''

''Well, you said that you would help me.'' Zyreel pouting, looking at me, waiting for my answer.

''I should make a tea for us,'' Jenlyn said in the kitchen. Zy's office is enormous, you can actually live here.

Zyreel is busy with her tabs and thinking about what theme she will have. I can't actually help, since I don't know about fashion. If my mom could still be alive, indeed, she could help her with that. My mom's taste in clothes is remarkable. Even with simple clothes, she can make it live. She loves pastel and light colored dresses make her more elegant. Oh, that's it!

''Zy, how about the pastel and light color of the dress.'' Zy look at me, and after a second, she smiles?

''I think I know what I will be going to do.'' She said. ''You know, somehow, the color that you gave to me is the color that reminds me of Devina, your mom. She really loves those colors, and I think it also suits her. Since you are as bright as the sun, I'll have an idea of my fashion week's theme.'' She added

Zy drew some dresses and outfits for July fashion week, and all of them are gorgeous. I can't wait to wear it. After how many hours passed, I didn't know it was late in the evening. I immediately stood and got my things.

‘’I’m sorry but I need to go home.’' Jen looks at her wrist clock and nods at me. ''Zy, my driver is also here. You should take your time for your event. I accompanied Annie to her home.''

‘’I’m sorry guys, I didn’t expect it would be late, my secretary will lead you out. I just need to finish this. Thank you for your help! I love you guys!’’ Zyreel hugged us and went outside.

I went inside Jen's car. What a day. I don't know, but this day is tiring but lovely. Not bad for the first day of class. I hope it will also be smooth the other day. After a few minutes' drive, I am now here in my home. '' Thank you for bringing me to my house, Jen,'' I said, and Jen hugged me. ''Goodnight, Annie!'' she said. I waved my hand to her car and looked at the sky again. It’s cloudy but I can see the moon and stars above. I lift my hand to the sky. I know that I can handle everything around here, mom and dad.

''I don't need to reach the stars just to reach deep into myself….''
