Chapter 31: Real

"But all I want is Zach's safety. That's why I even want to go near him. I can't do it. I am scared that he will be targeted by Kate's parents." He went to the kitchen and I followed him, "What are you doing?" I said, "I told you that I would cook for you right since you have wine here. I decided to cook steak. What do you think?" I just nodded, he put his wine glass on the kitchen table and wore an apron. He gets the ingredients from the pantry and starts cooking. He is good at this. "When did you know how to cook?" I said just to start a conversation. "I always know how to cook." He said and smiled at me, "so how come you became a detective?" I was curious about what happened. While I ask him, I help him with the ingredients that he needs, " The time that I went away. I decided to book a flight to the states, but then Kate's parents found me. Because of that, I decided to go back to the Philippines. And that's when I met Lovely. He asked me if I wanted to be a detective. knew He chopped the ingredients while I poured some wine. ''That's why I tried my best to finish all the tests just to be a detective,'' He said, ''It's done'' He put the steak on the plate and. put some designs, I smiled because he know all about this he looks like a chef. ''Thank you Clyde!'' I said and he put all the food on the plate, then suddenly the door opened ''Mom?'' Zach came and I look at Clyde and he was looking at Zach, ''Who is he?'' He said and went to the table, ''Ahmm Zach...'' I don't know what will I say because Zach is looking at me and Clyde. ''Hi Zach'' he said and look at Zach, he just looks at him, ''I am your father.'' he adds, Zach just shrugged his shoulder, ''Hey dad!'' He said and went to the table ''Do you have extra steak there?'' He said, ''Ahmm--'' , ''We have. Actually, I made three steaks,'' he got the steak and put it on the plate in front of Zach, ''Zach do you know him?'' I said, I think he knew he just didn't say ''Yeah I already know mom.'' He said and sat. ''How did you know?'' Clyde said while eating. I don't know why Zach is just calm. " I have always recognized him since I was a child. I always see him from afar." He said while eating. While me, I can't eat because I have lots of questions. "Why are you guys not eating?" After he said that, Clyde eats his steak. I looked at him with a what-did-you-do-to-him look. He just shrugged. "Do you like the steak?" Zach just nodded and smiled at him. "Zach, may I ask? How do you know him?" I said because I am now confused. "I was confused about who he is because he has always looked after me since I was a child, and investigated him. Then that's it. He is my father, right dad?" He said and looked at Clyde. Clyde is looking at him dumbfounded. He didn't know how he was going to react. But I could see that he was teary, "I am not stupid to know. I understand everything. So let's forget what happened in the past. Now you are finally coming near me. I am thankful for everything that you did." I hugged Zach and I pulled Clyde to hug him. "Thank you, Zach." Clyde said while crying, " Guys, I hate this kind of drama, you know that." We both laughed at what Zach said. We went back to the chairs and ate our steak. "Why are you here Zach? Who's guarding mama?" I said, "She is with Landry. I had just got home to get clothes but I saw you both so I got along." He said. "When did you guys meet?" Zach said. I don't know if I am going to tell him what happened to us. "I am a detective. I am the one who is handling Sweeney's case," Clyde explained. Zach just nodded and ate his steak. "I'd better go ahead. Landry is waiting." He looked at Clyde and smiled, "Thank you for this delicious meal, dad."

ZACH's P.O.V

After I said it to him, I went up to get Landry's clothes. I know that this day will come. That's why, as much as possible, I remained calm and chilled about what my father was going to say. I know that he doesn't want to introduce himself to me. I already know what happened in the past, everything. Now, I am planning to get to know a lot of information about my real mother. Actually, I have already started gaining information about my real mother. I know my real mom and my mom is my best friend, she is Kate. That's why I said to him that I am very thankful for what he did. I already know what my grandparents did to my father. And I am mad at what they did. I didn't have a chance to see my mother. I promise that I will avenge my family someday. I get all the clothes that she needs. I always consider Landry as she, not him, because I already know who she is. And I have loved her since I met you. The good thing is that we are not related to each other. I need to go back to the hospital. Landry is waiting for me. I looked out the window and I saw someone wearing a black hoodie. He is here again, now I don't know who he is following. Is it my mom or my dad? Or me? Sweeney is in the hospital. I hope she will be fine. This family is getting more in danger. The more details that I get about this family, the more danger is coming. When will this be okay?
