Chapter 34: the beginning

THIRD P.O.V

Everyone was waiting for Annie to say what her aunt said, ''I don't think I need a bodyguard, aunt Elizabeth.'' she said. ''You need it, Annie.'' her aunt said. She wanted to say that she didn't need a bodyguard because they would track what Annie was trying to plan. They will know what Anne will try to do. ''If you insist, but I would love it if I could choose who will be my bodyguard,'' Annie said and looked at her aunt. Even though they are close, and she is introduced as a part of Castro, the fact that she knows what her mother's family did to her family will never change. She didn't want revenge, she just wanted to have justice for her parent's death. And she is still digging into other information that she has now. She knows that there's a lot of information she still needs to know. ''Okay if that is what you want darling.'' Elizabeth is trying to read her expressions, she is good at reading people's eyes, And when she is looking at Annie, she can't see anything about her. ''How about we are the ones who will be her bodyguards?'' Zyreel said in the middle of their conversation. ''Zy, it's your life that we are talking about here,'' Annie said Annie, didn't want Zyreel to be with included in her life. When she found out that Jenlyn also knew about her life, she was now trying to help her. She was overthinking that Jenlyn would be in danger. Once her friends are linked to her life, it is also their lives. She didn't want to lose someone she loved. ''I think it would be a good idea if her friend's friend was her bodyguard.'' Kyo said, ''Annie, what do you think?'' Annie also thought that if they were her bodyguards, maybe her aunt would investigate their lives. They don't have privacy when they are her bodyguards. ''I think it would be a good idea if they were your bodyguards. After all, they are your friends and it will be good that they are with you every day.'' Annie is looking at her friends but her friends are looking at her like it-will-be-fine-look ''It's okay.'' Annie said. Before, Annie thinks that her friends will be investigated by her aunt. Her aunt did it when she knew that Annie was her sister's daughter. Elizabeth has good intentions for Annie, but she doesn't care about her friends or her family.

''Okay, it's final. Mr. Principal, thank you for having me here. Welcome me to your school. Looking forward to knowing more about her.'' Elizabeth said. She looked at Annie's friends and looked at her assistant, ''Here are the contract papers that you will need to read.'' Her assistant gave them each one of the contract papers that they needed to sign. ''Read it, and you have 1 week to give it to me in my office. Annie knows my office, she will guide you there.'' Elizabeth adds. ''I need to go, darling,'' Elizabeth said and kissed Annie's cheeks and patted her head. Elizabeth loved Annie. She can see her sister with Annie's appearance. When Elizabeth said that she would color her hair blonde gold, she was looking forward to seeing Divina's face. And she is right about it. Annie is a resemblance to Divina. ''Come to my office later after your class, okay?'' She added. ''Take care, aunt Elizabeth,'' Annie said and nodded. Elizabeth went out and only Annie, Vyrone, Kyo, and her principal. ''You can all take a halfway class. I think Annie needs a rest for now.'' Her principal said to make Annie think that this principal wanted to. Well, her aunt is a queen and it would be a good idea to connect her name to her aunt. ''Thank you, sir.''

After that, they all went out and Annie burst into what she had wanted to say a while ago. ''You guys! Why did you do that?!"' she said, and they were both shocked at Annie's reaction right now. ''You are putting yourselves in danger.'' She added, and her friends were just looking at her. After Annie burst her concerns, everyone burst into laughing, ''Why are you guys laughing?! I am serious here!'' Annie said that she thinks they are not serious about why she is angry right now. Her friends know what Annie is trying to say. They just want to lift the mood. They know what they are into. ''We know it, Annie, '' Vyrone said and, still laughing, ''I'm sorry Annie. We just can't take it. You are so cute when you are angry.'' Zyreel said and wiping her tears caused by her laugh. Kyo is just smiling at Annie. In their minds, they are laughing, but they are scared that in an instant they will be gone. They know that it is her life that they are talking about. But they also know that it is for Annie's good. They wanted Annie to be safe. They love Annie. ''You guys!'' Annie said and hugged them, ''Thank you so much!'' She said. They just hugged her. Annie could not express her feelings well because she felt that she was special to have that kind of friend who is willing to be in danger just for her life. ''I think I need to build my body,'' Vyrone said and showed off his muscles to Zyreel. Zyreel just punched his arm. ''Let's have a training session for you guys,'' Annie said she knows who she will ask for their training, and Kyo also knows who is about her mind. ''That would be a good idea, Annie,'' Zyreel said, even though they are scared. they are about what will happen. ''You will learn how to hold a gun and knife.'' Annie went to a serious face. 'Everyone thinks that Annie change a lot. ''Now we know why you've changed a lot. Don't worry Annie. We will be here for you.'' Zyreel said and held her hand. ''Why not we continue to go out and eat?'' Kyo said holding his wallet, ''My treat, of course!'' he said, we both smiled.''Wow, this is the first time that you will treat us!'' Vyrone said in a joke, ''What happened?'' he adds, and Kyo punched him on the shoulder. After that Vyrone also punched Kyo, ''Hey guys take it easy!'' I said and we are now laughing. I miss this kind of moment I hope Jenlyn and Gill are here. I miss them. ''Let's go?'' Kyo said and looked at me. I smile, he holds my hand and I let myself hold my hand. Vyrone and Zyreel teasingly looked at me. I know I am blushing right now. ''Where will going to eat?'' I said, ''Why not we try that?'' Vyrone aid and point at the restaurant it says that unli wings, ''Unli wings? It is chicken and you can eat more of it'' I said, Zyreel and I looked at each other, ''How are we supposed to eat it!'' I said to them, Zyreel and I are not a fan of unli, ''Well I am challenging Kyo in the battle of eating!'' Vyrone said and Kyo laughed, ''Well, I accept your challenge!'' I and Zyreel can't do anything about them. They are all fired up, ''What we will go to do Zyreel?'' I said to her, she just shrugged her shoulder, ''Let them be!'' she said and laugh. We let them eat here, we just eat one plate of chicken while they eat a lot of chicken, Vyrone has five plates, and also Kyo, ''Do you think who will win?'' Zyreel said, I just shrugged, I don't know who will win. But I am happy seeing them enjoying themselves. Everyone is looking at them and I am now shy. I really can't take this. ''Why not we let them eat here, and we went outside. Let's walk?'' Zyreel said, I just nod we let them eat there and paid in an advance for whatever they are eating, Zyreel knows that after they eat they will forget to pay. ''How are you really?'' Zyreel said and looking at me she is just asking me to worry and also be happy, ''I am happy right now but somehow I am scared because I know that there is something happened afterward.'' I said to her, she hold my hand, ''you know that I am here. Annie.'' she said, ''I know Zyreel.'' I said we both sit on the bench here near the park. There is so much that happened to us and they are still here on my side., I am now getting to think that there will be a time that they will not here on my side. What if there will be an accident because of me? ''Whatever you will think right now. It will never happen, Annie.'' Zyreel said and looked at me, ''I know what you were thinking I know that you just want us to be safe but we are here for you, Annie. We want you to know that no matter what happened we will stay.'' she said, she was crying while saying it, ''You know I think I ddint know what is happening to you but I have an idea that you need me to know that deep down here. Annie, I am your best friend don't forget that. I will be here on your side even though they are all gone, I will not think of leaving you. You are my sister and even Jenlyn. I miss the three of us.'' she said, I gave her the handkerchief and let her wipe her tears. ''Thank you Zyreel. I also miss the three of us. I am sorry because of me these are all happened.'' I said and now crying, ''Shh, I swear to Tita Divina that I will do everything for you. Just remember that I am also here on your side. I know, I know that there are lots of happenings in our surroundings but I assure you that I can manage to fight back that's why I decided to be your guard.'' she said and smiled. I hugged her tight, ''Now I am praying that the three of us will someday be met and we are all safe.'' she said, ''Thank you Zyreel. Thank you so much.'' I said to her. ''Can we join?'' we were shocked that Vyrone and Kyo are on our behind them, they are spreading their arms and hugging us, ''Arghh gets off guys!'' Zyreel said. ''You are smell chicken!'' she adds, they both laugh at what Zyreel said, ''Who win?'' I asked them. They both looked at each other, ''No one wins because we end up can't eat at the seven plates.'' Kyo said, ''Well at least I am full.'' Vyrone touched his stomach, ''You look pregnant!'' Zyreel said and laughed, I also laughed. ''Well you are the father of my unborn son.'' vyrone said with a woman's voice and because of that all of us laughed so loud. I can't help looking at them laughing. I hope this is not the end of our happiness. The laughter that we are sharing right now is the one that I wanted to protect and that I will protect with all of my life. ''Thank you, guys!'' I said to them they stop laughing and looked ta me, ''For what?'' they said, ''For this moment. I will cherish this.'' they just smile, ''You know that you are important to us Annie. No matter what.'' Vyrone said and raised his hand and thumbs. I smile back and look at them one by one. God, I am praying right now. Give me a chance to be with them a little longer. Protect these people. They are the one who is real.
