9 ~ Last WarningMy phone started buzzing the Harry Potter theme song somewhere nearby. After the night I’d had, the sound was pure bliss to my ears. I spent the last couple of hours fighting sleep so that I wouldn’t see Brooke’s face in my dreams. Even with Libby beside me, I couldn’t stop the weight in my lungs from threatening to suffocate me. My muscles were numb from being tense all night and I felt sticky from the cold sweats that kept breaking out over my body.
I shifted in bed and felt across the floor for my phone. When my fingers finally nudged the base of it, I picked it up and tapped the screen open. A text message from a number I didn’t recognise took up the entire screen.
