I thought confused getting angrier and angrier when everything was clear as I saw Luke running up the sidewalk. My anger struck me like lightning in a thunderstorm. It circulated through my body as I stormed over to him with my bike rolling next to me. I gripped the handlebars tight enough my knuckles turned white “YOU! You told her didn't you” I said angrily a few feet away. “What are you talking about,” Luke asked stunned, “you told Katharine that I was sick,” I said angrily “what no I didn't know Katharine new,” he said startled “don't lie to me,” I said noticing sparks surrounding me and a sharp pain creeping into my chest with a sudden headache. “You ok?” Luke asked worried, showing in his eyes “yeah I'm fine. I just need to calm down” I said trying to steady myself. Luke extended his hand “here take my hand. You look like you're about to fall over” he explained. “No! I said I'm fine” I said finally standing up straight as I took a deep breath. “You sure,” Luke asked, “god just leave me alone you’ve caused enough headaches for me and some I mean literally.” I said pushing him away “look I'm sorry but it's not something to be so mad about.” he said sounding hurt. “Oh! and which thing am I still mad about! The surprise meeting with your sister, your lying to me, maybe even when you were spying on me and my phone call. Oh! Wait or are you talking about you're sister TELLING THE ENTIRE SCHOOL THAT I'M SICK” I said catching my breath. Luke looking at me stunned quiet “look I have somewhere to be. So say hi to Zac and Mia for me” I said steadily walking off, Luke standing there frozen till he heard a sudden ringing. Luke turned around noticing the doctor's office behind him making the noise. Putting everything together it hit him and his heart broke for Jasmine and everyone who knew her.

“Sorry I'm late Soph,” I said hopping off my bike. Out of breath “yeah you better be what took you so long” she asked. “Sorry I saw two students I work with named Zac and Mia on the way here and we started talking.” I said smiling cheekily “mhm sure whatever let's just get going,” Sophie said dragging me into the store --BEEP BEEP-- “Wait, Sophie, I got a text from the Vise President,” I said stunned “what for,” she asked curiously as she walked back over to me closing the door. “He said he wants to know if I’m able to come down to the school and help get ready for the dance tomorrow,” I said surprised. “Ugh! I guess not I mean it's not like your in a rush or anything” Sophie said sarcastically “sorry Soph! Looks like we’ll half to postpone” I said sheepishly. “Nah it's fine but I guess I'll come to, seeing as how we're late already,” Sophie said eyeing me suggestively. “Ok, then I'll just let him know we're on our way then,” I said as we started walking towards the school. “Sorry that our day was ruined. If I had just been on time” I said apologetically. “It's fine but why’d it take so long just to say hi to two kids real quick. I mean I know they are very hyper but still” “oh well I mean they're kids they like to talk and they hadn’t seen me in a while. Since I was in the hospital” “Yea sorry! It just doesn't feel right to me ya know” Sophie said shaking her head. “Sorry,” I said nervously “it's fine, let's just get this done,” Sophie said calmly. “Um ok” I nervously said, “ah finally you're here I'm so relieved were short-handed today." The Vice President said frantically happy seeing us show up at the school gate him holding clipboards in hand. "Why are we short," I asked. "Well, a lot of people had appointments to prepare for the dance tomorrow. So when I called my fall-back people they were either sick, unreachable or had appointments themselves I didn't have anyone else to call since the ones I called and they did come wither got sick or had appointments later on” Vise President explained. “Well, we’re here. So what help do you need” I asked sincerely seeing how frantic he was “well, first we need some more people on decorations, then the king and queen tallies needs talining up, and we needed some paperwork fixed oh and we got a call saying that they didn't have the Christmas based flowers we wanted like poinsettia, Christmas cactus, the holy or the Christmas roses on sale anymore or they won't ship it since its so close to Christmas” he said reading the list written on the clipboard. “Wow, that's a lot for just the two of us to help with.” I said turning towards Sophie “I'll call some friends to help” Sophie said happily “are you sure I don't want them forcing themselves if they're busy” I stated. “Nah they owe me one. Plus they're big on helping. Plus it helps that they won't have a say in the matter” Sophie said waving me off. “Ok!” I said turning back around letting Sophie make her helpful phone calls. “What do we do now? The dance is tomorrow, we're not even ready and I know what to do I told the teachers that I could handle this without your help because you've been in poor health lately but know...” Vincent said panicking. “It's fine! It's fine! We got this also I don't mind helping so don't worry about my health I got everything under control. So first things first, I need to know how many people we have helping today” I said putting my hand on his shoulder comfortingly. “Right,” he said taking a breath “well there's about maybe thirteen right now in total” “hmm that's not a very good number is it,” I said thinking “some people have been out either because they got sick or have appointments for tomorrow” he explained again. Turning around I looked to Sophie who was still talking on the phone sounding irritated with the person. “Hey, Soph how many people do you think will come from your calls” I shouted “hmm about seven more if I'm correct...yes you to...yes you're coming...well YOU have no choice,” Sophie said before arguing into the phone. “Hm, so that should give us twenty people in total….ok I think I have a good strategy for this situation,” I said calmly playing the strategy in my head over and over to make sure it would work. “What do you have planned,” Vise President Vincent asked eagerly “ok first like you said we need some more people on decorations how many do you have.” I asked “oh umm about four,” he said disappointed “that's ok that’s a good number since decorations are important. So if seven more are coming then I'll put two more in that group to be safe. Then you said the king and queen voting tallies needed to be tallied up correct” I asked making sure “yes the student who was doing it left sick” he said concerned. “Ok well, I can do that since it's only dividing them up so it shouldn't take me long." I explained "now you said we needed some paperwork fixed can you tell me what paperwork needs to be done” I asked professionally “ah well the Christmas lights need to be signed off I couldn't get ahold of the principle and the closest person I knew who could sign off on it was him or a teacher. and without it signed we can't use them on school grounds. Then there's the shipping papers for the Christmas tree and the music. The DJ who's supposed to play it is here he’s waiting for someone to sign the permits. He said he won't set up till the contracts are signed and handled and if that's not done by five then he’s out” he said nervously fidgeting with his glasses. “Ok I'll handle the DJ he sounds like a real jerk anyway and I'll also sign his papers so I’ll need you to sign the tree and lights paperwork. Then you’ll need to get someone to go get the lights after or do I need to get them so there are no misunderstandings” I asked “ah uh n..no I can do that” he stuttered as if unsure of himself. “Alright, and you said we got a call saying that the flower shop the school ordered from didn't have the Christmas based flowers we wanted.” “yea we got a call saying that they were all sold out for the season.” he explained, “so they were even out of Poinsettia, Christmas cactus, holy and Christmas roses so they weren't on sale anymore and won't ship it that correct?” I asked “ye..yes” he stuttered. “Ok well we can get poinsettias at any store for cheap but they’ll half to be fake and the Christmas cactus needs to be the ones that aren’t pointy because someone could get hurt but I know somebody who I can get those from she owns a flower shop the same goes for the Christmas roses as for the holy we can get those from the woods to. Unless we want fake holy. Then we can get those from any store to” I said finishing everything up seeing the Vice President standing there stunned. “So that 'bout sums it up. Do you have anything else” I asked “ah n...no that's all thank you! I really do appreciate this” he said thanking me “I should be thanking you I love helping if I can. Plus it's no problem I'm just happy to help but if there's anything else I can do to help just ask! It's not good to bottle up all the stress or do all this by yourself” I said, giving him a soft smile. “Alright! Thank you” he said before walking off back to work. Smiling happily I turn around to see Sophie standing as she smirked next to Jack, Luke, Sophie's three younger siblings Jason, Sally and Jake and Dorothy them all just standing there all bug-eyed. While Malkaie, on the other hand, was just standing there with Sophie, both of them were not surprised at all. “Um, what’re the faces for,” I asked confused “you just sounded like you were a professional,” Dorothy said smiling “what do you mean I just said what I'd usually say plus I'm nothing like Mrs. Delia at her dinner.” I said weirded out “for real! So you're always like that” Jason asked “well..yea at least I think. Except for when I'm around kids” I said “well that’s Jasmine for you. The Supergirl with like fifty jobs at once” Sophie laughed “what it's not fifty jobs! It's only like seven and they're not even all the time” I defended “yea yea! I know” Sophie laughed “that was pretty cool though Jas,” Malakie said “whatever let's just get started” I sighed. “Alright then just tell us what to do captain.” Jake said playfully saluting me like I was a captain. “Ok well I need four of y'all on decorating in which will be Sally, Dorothy, Sophie and Jake then I need two of you to get the Christmas lights and tree Malakie, Jason could y'all do that for me" "sure think Jassy" Malakie agreed "oh and the tree will be being shipped and will be here in like an hour maybe sooner. Y'all got that so be at the front of the doors. Then I need two others to run and get the flowers from Amelia's flower shop. She's an old friend of mine who I used to work for so I'll need Jack and Luke...mhm...Now no complaining ok I chose y'alls groups and that's that. So let's get going.” I said taking a breath “but what about you I mean you have way more to do than us,” Sophie asked concerned “I'm fine, plus y'alls work is helping keep me from doing these jobs I just need to give y'all these. Which are the papers for the Christmas tree and lights they're signed and ready? So y'all can get them just fine unless you break them then I'll break you for every single one broken ok, so don't break anything ok” I said handing the papers to Malakie and Jason smiling “um yes ma’am” Jason gulped “uh ye..yeah sis” Malakie stuttered. “You need to take it easy.” Jack said “look Jas I agree with Jack you need to take a break” Malakie agreed “I'm fine, besides I can't just up and leave my Vise President all by himself, you saw how much of a wreck he was I can't do that to someone” “yeah, but that's not our concern, you are Jasmine” Dorothy said “really I'm fine, all I need to do is finish some paperwork and dividing. Then make some calls for Jack and Luke so they can be on their way to get the flowers for the dance tomorrow, speaking of which I should call her now” I said getting my phone out. being stopped by someone putting their hand on top of the screen. Lowering it down getting my attention “your health is first priority over everything else, you need to listen to Malakie and Sophie and take it easy. I don't care what problems or how much of a wreck the Vice President is, all we care about is that you don't end up in the hospital again” Jack was standing right in front of me calm, cool and collected as ever but concern and sincerity filled his eyes. Suddenly I started seeing stars and feeling an ache in my chest that was hurting worse and worse by the minute. Pushing away I breath trying to disguise the pain. “--Sigh-- fine but I need to make this call…or were not going to be able to do anything and the dance will be a total bomb,” I said honestly. Trying to do everything I could to keep a straight face. “That's ok but then you’ll take a break right,” Sophie said “yea! I'll take a break sheesh now get to work move move move” I said shooing them away the lot of them running to work. Taking a shaky breath I looked at my shaking hands. (What just happened I didn't use my powers I didn't do anything so why) I thought putting a hand to my still aching chest while I took my phone out dialing Amelia’s number --BEEP-- :hello: Amelia picked up : hey Amelia it's me Jasmine: :oh Jasmine I'm so happy you called I heard you ended up in the hospital a couple of times are you alright?: she asked sincerely :yeah I'm fine, thanks for your concern though: :well I'm glad to hear that, so what do you need because I know you didn't call just to catch up and say hello: :--Sigh--you always see right through me Amelia: :yea, So spit it out already: she laughed. :Ok well my schools having a Christmas dance and I need some Christmas based flowers and I knew you either had some or know where I could get some: I explained :depends on the flowers you want and if it's not illegal because you know I don't play with that crap: Amelia said sternly :oh no no no, It's not illegal, you should know me better than that: :yea I know but people change: :haha, ok well I haven't so don't worry but I do need some poinsettia hopefully fake, Christmas cactus the non-prickly ones ya know, the holy also preferably fake, and the Christmas roses: :ok well you can get fake poinsettia anywhere really but yeah I got some in my store. Now the Christmas cactus let's see I have purple, red and yellow that aren’t prickly, now holy you can get from a forest but if it's the fake kind you want. Just go to a dollar store or something as for the Christmas roses what type do you kids want I have a variety.: :Well what types you got: :let's see...I have regular roses that are red and white, then Helleborus Orientalis which are a type of multi-color flower without dyes, then there are Helleborus Niger it's a white flower kinda bland in my opinion. Then you could count hydrangeas. The pink ones as a Christmas rose but a lot of people don't like to count them but that's up to you kids so make your choice: :wow I know you've always had a lot of flowers but that's a lot to choose from: I expressed: yea and there's more but I'm not going to list them all: :ok well if the flowers are how I imagined them to look I'll go with fake poinsettia, half a dozen yellow and purple non-prickly Christmas cactus, a dozen red roses then half a dozen white roses and a dozen of the Helleborus Niger and half a dozen of the pink hydrangeas and that should be all: :you sure that's what you want.: She asked :yes..you want me to tell you everything again just to make sure: :yea let's make sure I wrote everything down correctly: :ok first fake poinsettia, half a dozen yellow and purple non-prickly Christmas cactus, a dozen red roses then half a dozen white roses and a dozen of the Helleborus Niger and half a dozen pink Hydrangeas: I listed again :that all: Amelia asked again :yea I think so, but if I need any more I'll call you: I explained :ok you going to be paying cash or credit: :cash I’ll be sending two guys over to get all the flowers I'll send the money with them.: :Can I trust them.: :Absolutely I trust them...well right now I trust Jack the other guys Luke he's kinda on my bad side right now: I laughed. :Oh really how scary being on Jasmine's bad side: Amelia jokes :yea, make fun of me all you want: :oh I am: she laughed. :--Sigh--: I breathed. :Well, I trust you to make the right decision so I'll talk to you later: I said :yea bye: Amelia dismissed :hey..: I stopped :hm yea what is it: Amelia asked. :Well..sorry I had to quit: :Nah it's fine I understand: :you sure: I asked :yea so I'll talk to you later: Amelia clarified :yea bye again: :bye: --BEEP-- “well that's over with,” I sighed (man I'm actually really tired) I thought turning my neck stretching it (well I guess I should do as Sophie and the others suggested --Sigh--I really shouldn't be the only one resting) “alright let's see how everything is going then” I said trying to pump myself up.

“So what’d you do to Jas,” Jack asked frankly. “Oh, you noticed that. To be honest I don't know what I did wrong. All I did was ask her to hang out with me because my sister Katherine wanted to meet her. But it seemed they had already met, and Jasmine seemed to really hate Katharine I don't understand. I don't understand her my sister or anything for that matter. And to top it all off that same night was when I had to bring Jasmine to your place. When she passed out, that night was way crazy with Katharine going on talking horrible yo Jas which she was obviously doing on purpose but what made it even weirder was how Jasmine was fire literally. I don't even know how to explain that.” Luke explained, “oh, well then Jasmine and your sister must have a bad history because Jasmine doesn't hate anyone without a reason.” Jack laughed “yea I know. and because of my sister, Jasmine hates me know” Luke said discouraged. “Nah it's fine she doesn't hate you she's just a little awkward with people,” Jack said trying to comfort Luke. “Yea no, she hates me didn't you see how she looked at me she’d probably kill me if she had the chance” Luke expressed. “You're overreacting.” Jack laughed “yea but I mean that's not the only reason she hates me. You see she works at my little brother and little sisters daycare school after our school hours and she got this major important call from some Dr. Williams guy. I think that was his name. Anyways she was talking to him around the corner of the school but while she was on the phone he said something that upset her, a lot and I mean it made her feel really really bad. So I accidentally heard a lot of it. So she thought I was eavesdropping or spying” Luke explained. “Wait she was talking to Dr. Williams, that's my Dad. What's she doing talking to my Dad” Jack questioned “I don't know but it seemed really important and today I saw her coming out of a doctor's office downtown at around three something” Luke explained. “That's my Dad's office!” Jack exclaimed, “How do you know it's your dad’s office?” “it's the only one downtown! What's going on? Why was she down there I thought she was with Sophie all day?” Jack questioned confused “I don't know, maybe it's because she's been collapsing and blacking out a lot lately” Luke considered. “Yea maybe but why hasn't my Dad talked to me about this? He knows I'm her friend and Jasmine's family even know I mean wouldn't Malakie have told us about it” Jack asked, “who knows but for now let's just get these flowers in the trunk.” Luke said unlocking his car trunk. “Yea yea,” Jack said annoyed his head racing with questions.
