A few hours earlier at an old park sat a beautiful young girl with curly black hair. “Hey Sophie,” Malakie said “finally ya know even tho you have a fast truck your very slow” Sophie laughed “yeah well you try getting out of my house without an interrogation about where you're going, when are you coming home. and who with. Taking like an hour more than getting stopped at every single stop light" he said dramatically making Sophie laugh. “Yea ok you're so dramatic” Sophie laughed “you don't believe me do you,” he said astounded “oh no, I so do,” she said teasingly “liar,” he said fack pouting. “Ok ok fine whatever it doesn't matter I mean Jasmine has it fare worse than you probably” Sophie stated “yeah good point” Malakie laughed. “So where you want to go,” Sophie asked “don't know what about you,” he asked “how about some ice cream” Sophie suggested. “Ok let's get going before the ice cream shop closes,” Malakie said taking Sophie's hand and walking towards his truck “ok,” she said smiling.
Resting on his back his hands behind his head. Jack laid on top of a grassy hill with his mind racing with thoughts of uncertainty and worries “why won't she talk to anyone." Jack finally said sighing aggravatedly “I mean she has so many people who care so much for her. Who wants to help her like Sophie or Malakie, even me but she just decides not to. She just kept everything a secret and not telling anyone what's going on with her. I mean who knows what she's going through or how much pain she's in but she still chooses to be alone. She shouldn't half to do that I mean we're all here for her. All of us” Jack said, sitting up irritatedly. “I half to find a way to find out what's going on! Even though Jasmine and my father won't tell me anything” Jack said thinking up a plane “I should probably talk to Sophie and Malakie about this first. I can ask Luke if there is anything else he knows too” Jack said to himself as he stood up dusting himself off. Suddenly something from the bottom of the hill shined in his eye making him blink blindly for a moment. Looking down the hill curiously he found the shining light again while noticing a familiar face with it walking hastily towards the fountain. “Wait is that…” he said curiously hurrying down the hill to see if he saw right. After finally reaching the bottom of the hill he bolted left toward the fountain to see that he was in fact right. Sitting a few feet away from where he stood. Sat Jasmine Knight with her bag and phone in hand, his heart sinking at the sight of her frail and saddened smile. Her eyes shimmering with sadness as her jewel-like eyes shimmered with wet tears in the moonlight. As Jasmine put the phone to her ear she spoke softly. As he started to listen he curiously and heartachingly moved closer. Hiding on the other side of the fountain so Jasmine wouldn't accidentally see him. Only to hear Jasmine’s voice shakily say. :Hello this is Jasmine Knight...yes ma’am that's me...yes I know it's getting late but I regret to inform you. That I will no longer be able to work for you at the library anymore. Due to some recent occurrences that have drastically caused me to make drastic changes in my life…Yes, ma'am ...Yes, ma’am thank you for your understanding. I'm sorry for the short notice ...Yes, ma’am, I will thank you, bye--Beep--: “God, I hate this why? Why can't I, why can't I just...” tearing up Jasmine breathed shakily “no-no I'm not going to cry. I need to keep a calm and professional voice on the phone so I don't worry about anyone.” She said determined as she took an even deeper breath. Sighing as she started dialing another number. Scooting closer Jack was finally able to see her face and hear the other line on the phone as she talked. :Hello: a voice said :yes hello this is Jasmine Knight may I speak with the manager please: :you are what's with the formalities Jasmine: the women asked. :Yes well Mrs. Daniel I know it's getting late but I needed to let you know that I will no longer be able to work for you at the dinner anymore. Mainly because some highly important things came up. So I can't have any extra things going on. I need to focus on that one thing so I hope you understand and there are no hard feelings.: :Aw dear I'm so sorry to hear that. The staff and customers loved ya but I understand. No hard feelings: :thank you: :now you understand that there will always be a place here for ya. Ya hear me: :yes ma’am and thank you I'll talk later: :bye Daniel: :bye dear--Beep--: hanging up I sighed uneasily. “Well that's two down now I just got four more,” she said to herself saddened as she dialed another number. :Hello this is Jasmine Knight may I speak with your manager please: :yes one moment: a man said. After a few minutes, the vet manager Sindy picked up :Hello, Jasmine it's good to hear from you. You didn't come this weekend or the last so I was getting worried: :oh I'm sorry I worried you I should have called.: Jasmine said uneasily :don't worry about it you’ve never missed a day so you have some leeway: the women laughed. :Well thank you for that but that's not why I'm calling ma’am: :oh then what is it: :Mrs. Sidney, I know this is sudden but because some stuff has come up I regret to let you know that I will no longer be able to work for you in the vet clinic. I need to focus on that one thing so I hope you can understand.: Jasmine said sadly :Oh hun, you didn't half to call and give me such formality. I mean it's appreciated but you've worked here for what five years it's fine. I understand if there's something that needs your utmost attention. I just hope everything’s ok deer.: :Yes ma’am and thank you: :ok hun I hope everything works itself out: :yes ma’am thank you --Beep--: "--Sigh-- I'll just send an email to my other jobs it hurts too much to do this,” she said with tears in her eyes. “Now what should I do,” she said to herself. "ok this can't go on anymore" Jack whispered to himself before moving. “Oh hey, Jasmine what you doing out here don't you have work," Jack asked awkwardly as he stood in front of her his hands in his pockets. “Oh Jack um, sorry I didn't see you there what's up,” she said nervously wiping her face. “Nothing I just saw you sitting there as I was going by so I thought I should say hi, so what did you mean by what should I do,” he asked. “Oh well hi to you too and it's nothing,” she said chuckling a bit. “You ok,” he asked “Oh me? Yea I'm fine” Jasmine said pushing it off “really you sure about that because from where I stood it seemed like you were crying,” Jack said straightly. “Oh yea I'm fine these are just...tears of joy,” she said trying to smile. “What for,” Jack asked, “oh, well Mrs. Eleanor the chorus teacher I worked with after school and on weekends, well she's on maternity leave so she should be having her baby soon so I'm happy for her.” She said cracking a smile Jack just looked at her with unbelief “--Sigh-- you don't believe that do you” she said “not one bit sorry” Jack said. “No it's fine, but I truly am happy for Mrs. Eleanor but today's just been…” she said stopping “a horrible and or depressing day,” Jack said finishing the sentence. “Yea...but I'm sure tomorrow will be way better,” Jasmine said standing up and stretching. Putting on a smile “yea I'm sure you're right” Jack said unsure. Walking closer Jack smiled putting a hand on Jasmine's shoulder smiling “Jasmi...” “Well I better get heading home it was nice talking to you Jack. So I'll see you later” she said nervously as she moved back slowly with her bag in hand turning around and quickly walking away. “Yea, ok, see ya around then,” Jack said as he watched her walk away (did I say something.) He thought confused.
Walking away quickly I had my arms crossed. My breaths becoming shallow, and tears now rolling down my face from the aching pain in my chest and head everything pulsating. “Why? Why does it hurt so much, all he did was...touch my shoulder.” Hurrying I turned suddenly falling to the ground behind the building snow like teardrops surrounding my body once again. “No!...stop please...it hurts” I pleaded as I tried with everything I had to move my body. However my body just wouldn't respond, and with every breath, I took the harder it got to breathe. My chest hurting and my head ached. As I started coughing and gasping for air worse and worse as blood started coming out my mouth and nose with the snow shaped teardrops vanishing into my body. Entering my chest as I gasped and coughed for air that I no longer had. Accompanied by the greatest pain imaginable. Hit my body that had been engulfed in a cold and fearful pain. All the while, while blood steadily came out my mouth and nose dripping to the ground staining the snow-covered grounded red. and after a couple of minutes of free air, my body became heavy causing me to fully collapse to the ground surrounded by cold darkness as my body ached in pain.
