to show Jack with some water and some medicine. siocked he turned to see me sitting up “oh you're up welcome to the land of the living” he joked “glad to be here..what happened” I asked taking the medicine “oh well Luke called me saying you passed out in a restaurant and didn’t know what else to do and he didn't have sophie's number so I called her” Jack explained “wait Sophie knows I passed out” I asked nervously “yea she’s the one who changed you” Jack explained “oh ok so did Luke say anything else” I asked hesitantly “yea actually he told us everything that happened he also said that we probably shouldn't tell your Mom and dad” Jack said scratching his head “yeah Momma and Daddy would flip” I said laughing nervously “Jack, I'm sorry you were right about Luke I shouldn't have trusted him he was using me just so his sister could get to me” I said looking at my hand not able to look Jack in the eyes “it's fine I already yelled at him earlier but I'll kill him later if it makes you feel better but right know we need to focus on how you're doing” Jack said smiling I pulled my knees to my chest and put my head on them “I can't believe how stupid I was to believe him” I said ashamed. Jack walked over to me and sat on the bed next to me putting his arm around me comfortingly “it's ok Jasmine. Like I said I'll kill him later if you want” Jack said smiling “oh and Sophie said she's taking you shopping tomorrow for a dress for the dance” Jack said laughing “what I'm not going to the dance know” I said lifting my head “what why not” Jack asked “because I don't have a date and Luke might be there and I don't want to ever see that piece of s**t again” I said determined “well I mean we could go to the dance...together” Jack said opening the door to leave “you’d still go with me” I asked “yea if you want that is” Jack offered his ears red. I smiled and laughed a bit to myself “yeah that’d be fun I’d love to go to the dance with you Jack Williams” I said smiling “cool I'll see you in a little so get some sleep.” Jack said as he left the room but when the door shut you could hear Jack yelled “YES SHE SAID YES HAHAHA” Jack yelled happily making me laugh.

Chapter 19.

“Ok so why are we here again” I asked “to get dresses for the dance” Sophie said smiling “ok then why’s Jack and Malakie here” I said pointing at the boys “we came so y'all don't get hurt” malakie said “yeah the past week you've been in the hospital twice and then you passed out yesterday and came to my house” Jack said “good point” I said smiling “and we need to get them some nice suits to” Sophie said “wait what we didn't say anything about anything for us” Jack said nervously “well if she's making me get a dress y'all half to too” I laughed “what no way ok I'm out” Jack said raising his hands in defeat “just give up seriously you won't win” Malakie said calmly “yea whatever” Jack said scratching his head seeing me laughing “here we are you ready Jasmine” Sophie asked “um no” I said nervously because after the last time we went cloth shopping she dressed me up like a doll it was terrifying “oh nonsense” sophie said grabbing my hand and dragged me in the store “well we’ll just sit on this bench ok Soph” Malakie said pointing to the bench in front of the store “no I'll need yalls opinion on the dresses” Sophie said grabbing the boys hands and taking them in the store “ok Sophie nothing fancy ok” I said shyly “yea I know you're style by knowing” Sophie said waving her hand at me “ok” I said unsur “ok so take these and try them on.” Sophie said handing me a few dresses “and I'll come in with this.” She said pushing me into the same dressing room. Finally, after a few minutes, Sophie and I both came out my face blushing as I stood there while Sophie just posted. Blushing I stood straight trying to show off the dress I am wearing. The dress I am wearing is a simple navy blue spaghetti strapped dress that went down to my ankles. A lovely blue flower design on the chest area that stretched to the waist. Honestly, it looked good on me even with my face blushed red. While, on the other hand, was in a beautiful red knee-length dress that had slightly see-through sleeves that went to her elbow but to put it simply it looked gorgeous on her it fit her personality and figure perfectly. “So y'all just going to stand there and gawk or say something” Sophie laughed Malakie and Jack both stunned with surprise. Finally coming back to reality Malakie shook his head then elbowed Jack “oh hi” Jack said nervously snapping out of his unknown trance. Snickering Sophie Malakie and I burst out laughing leaving Jack confused “wha..what” Jack asked turning red “you are too cute Jack” Sophie said laughing “what no I'm not” he said blushing even more “ok well now it's your turn” Sophie said with an evil grin handing both of them a suit. “Oh boy,” Jack said out loud sounding uneasy. Excitedly Sophie pushed Jack into the first changing room laughing as she said “it’s because you looked the most scared that you are going first. So it’s all on you ok Jack” Sophie said laughing as she was pushing Malakie into the second changing room “now the both of you hurry up” Sophie demanded. Not even a few minutes later Malakie and Jack opened the curtains interrupting our looking at each other's dresses and talking about how Sophie was going to do our hair, the both of them looking dashingly handsome with Malakie in a dark black tux with matching formal shoes accompanied by a white button up undershirt. Standing next to Malakie was Jack who is wearing a deep blue tux with an also white button up undershirt accompanied by black formal shoes. shoe They both look handsome and ready for the dance “wow y'all look dashing don't they Jas” Sophie said nudging me “yes very handsome” I said smiling making Jack smile back while Malakie smiled at Sophie.

“So what else should we do today” Sophie asked “well we can go get a bit to eat” Malakie suggested “sounds good to me” Jack agreed “what do you think Jas” Sophie asked “I'm good to grab a bite to eat but after I'll half to go to work” I said “oh right you work at the vet today don't you” Sophie stated “yep but I also go to the animal clinic after and I might end up at the kids after school” I smiled “wow how many jobs do you have again” Jack asked “there not really jobs to me but let's see” I said as I started counting on my fingers (she needs to count) “ok I work at the children's center on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, the vet on Saturdays and Tuesdays then the library on Thursdays or when they need me and daniels dinner as a waitress then I work with the chorus and elderly home on the weekends so that would make six in all” I said casually “wait six does Momma and papa know” Malakie said concerned “Momma does she made me make a weekly schedule plan for my jobs but to me I'm just helping out” I said smiling “look I'm just say’n that's a bit much I mean a job or two a day your overworking yourself don't you think” Malakie said concerned "wait a second I thought Momma and Dad said no working for a bit" Malakie freaked “ok for one I'm not overworking myself look I'm perfectly fine so don't worry and secondly I asked both Momma, Daddy and my managers and they all said its ok” I said putting my hand on his shoulder reassuringly “yea yea I'm just say’n” Malakie said grabbing my hand and squeezing it a bit “guys let's get food before I die from starvation” Sophie laughed “yea let's get some food” I said changing the subject and focusing on a food choice “ok so what do y'all want to eat” Malakie said dropping the subject too “well I want to try that knew place it's called Mandarin express there supposed to be really good” I suggested “sounds good to me I don't really care what we eat” Jack said acquiesce “I don't care either I've been wanting to try mandarin express for a while know” Sophie said excitedly “ok what y'all want” Malakie asked “I'll try anything I don't care” Jack said bluntly “same but I want a sprite with it” sophie smiled “I'll go with you to help you carry the food” I offered Malakie “alright then we're gone we'll be back in a few ok.”

On our way to Mandarin express it seemed like more and more people were coming through pushing and shoving us “God this place is getting crowded” Malakie said getting angry “well yeah it is the mall and its lunchtime” I said half laughing. Finally getting out of the swarm of people we try to catch our breath. I straightened up my breath caught in mid-breath when walking bye was Katharine and Luke. Luke carrying a lot of bags which I could only imagine were for the dance. Anger consuming me seeing them as she looked over and smirked at me as she kept on walking. Sparks were surrounding me again when a shockwave of pain hit my chest and I was shortened of breath Malakie looked at me worry hitting his face leaning over to me he said “Jas you ok what's wrong” worry in his voice “no I'm fine just heartburn probably from not eating yet today” I said casually laughing weirdly knowing he didn't buy it “ok if you say so but hey wasn't that Luke” Malakie asked “yea..it was...and with his sister” I said aggravated “so he does have a sister” Malakie said surprised “whatever let's go otherwise I won't get to finish eating and hanging out with y'all” I said half smiling “yep don't want everyone to wait for long” Malakie said smiling as he turned around towards Mandarin express “you mean you don't want Sophie to wait or you just hate to be apart” “oh shut up” he blushed.
