“Hey guys” I said popping my head through the doorway of the classroom “yay Miss Jasmine’s back” Silia yelled excitedly “yay” Silia, Emma, William and Ava yelled as they raced over to me with bright smiling faces “hey guys how have you all been y'all been behaving for Mrs. Sarah” I asked with a smile “yeah we have but we’ve missed you” Emma said cheerfully “I know I've missed y'all too sorry I've been out for long but I'm back now” I said smiling a bigger smile back at her “so yalls guardians drop y'all off early today” I said “yea there moms and dads have been working more hours so they drop them off earlier than normal but it’ll only be for a few days they say” Sarah said as she walked in with a clipboard in hand smiling happily to see me I smiled back “you checking stocks Sarah” I asked “oh yea it seems we're running out of craft supplies I'll need to go get some more later after work” she said sighing a tired sigh “if you want I could stay here and watched the place and the kids till you get back” I suggested “oh no I can't do that to you I can't just leave you here by yourself I mean you just got out of the hospital didn't you” she said concerned “oh I'm fine I'm stronger than I look plus if it's to help you and the kids I'll do anything to help plus it'll be too dark to go anywhere safely after work so go” I said smiling a cheesy smile “aww you're to sweet Jasmine but are you sure you can handle being left here alone” she asked “yes yes I'll be fine I've done it before don't you remember” I said confidently “yes your right then I'll get going so you won't half to stay long” Mrs. Sarah said heading out “take you're time” I said as I waved her off the children underneath my arms and hands “um Miss Jasmine where's Mrs. Sarah going” little Ava asked tugging on my shirt “oh well she went to go get some drawing and crafty type of stuff for you guys so I'll be playing and taking care of y'all till she gets back” I said as I crouched to Avas level as her face lit up with a smile as she laughed “ok then let's play” she said pulling me by my shirt towards the playroom. A few funny moments later the door rang “Mikle and Jason had shown up a little bit after me and we started playing immediately “if you’ll excuse me m’ lady it must be one of you're friends pardon me your majesty” I said playfully bowing to all the children who were dressed up as knights, princesses and princes “yes certainly knight Jasmine you may go” Emma said happily in a royal voice. I was wearing fake armor that the kids found and put on me involving a fake sword on a belt and shoulder guards and a helmet it was cute “excuse me princess Emma” I said as I bowed again and walked to the door “why hello Prince Zac and Princes Mia you're just in time for our games,” I said as I playfully bowed “yay Miss Jasmine’s back” Mia said happily “and where playing royals and nights” Zac said excitedly as they ran in and giving me a big hug almost knocking me over “it's great to see you to m’ lord Zac and m’lady Mia” I said with a big smile hugging them both “now go put your stuff away and choose your character” I said smiling as they ran to the classroom “yes ma’am” Zac yelled “bye bye bro bro” Mia waved as she turned the corner to the classroom “thank you for bringing them. Know have a good rest of you're day good sir” I said coldly as I put my hand on the door closing it “well I'm glad you're finally back at work I was starting to get worried” Luke said sincerely “yea sure well see ya” I said harshly “look can't we just talk for a sec” Luke said holding the door open “I don't have a second I have a whole class of kids I need to go take care of so YOU can wait” I said harshly again “ok I understand you're mad and I get you don't want to see me right now but I'm being honest here I just want a second we don't even half to leave ok I just want to talk” Luke said looking me in the eyes looking sincere and despite “I'm working right now” I said blankly. My chest hurting when I saw the face he made “Jasmine your finally back” a young girl with silky black hair and green eyes said happily as she walked closer happily he bag in hand “oh my god Dorothy I didn't know you were back when’d you get here” I said surprised “oh I got back Wednesday I finally graduated...yay me right” Dorothy said happily “wow congrats” I said happily. Dorothy Joann Collins, she may not look it but she's twenty-two years old I've known her since I started working here she's been gone for two years so she could graduate with a GPA point average of four point zero just to make her parents happy. “I'm happy you're back” I said smiling “same so who's he your boyfriend” she asked playfully “what no he's not my boyfriend he's Zac and Mia’s big brother and he was just leaving” I said looking at him with a ‘you need to leave’ look “um Miss Jasmine your phone started making noises” Emma and Jason said shyly at the door as Emma held up my phone “oh thank you very much, Jason and Emma” I said frantically with the phone still buzzing my eyes widening at the number “um Dorothy can you... I need to take this it's really important” I said looking back and forth between the phone and Dorothy “oh sure you go ahead I got the kids” she said waving me off “thank you I'll be back you're the best” I said pushing by Luke and running around the side taking off the plastic armor “I know now to go” she said laughing watching me run “wonder what's up” Luke said out loud “probably her family or something I mean after her being in the hospital like a dozen times I’d call to” Dorothy said as she went in closing the door her.

“Hello Dr. Patrick Williams here may I speak to Jasmine” “um yes this is she and I'm guessing you got the results back and that's why you're calling” I clarified “yes we have and I'm afraid they're not quite good it seems since the last time I saw you the problem has escalated so my hypothesis is that if you have another server attack like last time it can be fatale” he said seriously, “I see but the problem is that it seems there occurring more and more often and more uncontrollable” I said sorrowful tears building in my eyes “yes that's the other matter I need to discuss with you about. Know you said that they just happen and you don't no why or when they will occur” he said “I have no clue why they happen but it seems like they are occurring more often and they seem to be more painful and tiring each time they occur” I stated “hmm I see now with that said I would like you to come in tomorrow so we can run some more tests and find out if there is a cure or someway to help you” he said “yes sir I'm hoping we can get this figured out and fixed” I said choking back the tears wiping my face “know just to be clear I'm not sure if is curable or if it's just something you’ll half to live with” he said sadly and unsure “yes sir I know” I said sadly “ok just to be clear are you sure there aren’t any changes that could make this escalate further or anything stressful” he asked “other than school exams and drama no I can't think of anything” (well that's not the full truth because there's Luke and his sister Katharine who wanted Samael dead then there's these powers I have to take care of now and what's even words is that these powers might be the cause of all this pain so I'm hoping tomorrow's appointment will help me to find that out) I thought clenching my hand against my chest “ok well has anything changed since we last talked” he asked “no sir” I said “ok well I'd like it if you kept me in the loop so we can get this solved as quickly as possible so come down tomorrow say ten in the morning just to be on the safe side and we will get started maybe even get all the tests done” Dr Williams stated “yes sir will do I'll see you tomorrow oh and I'd appreciate it if you could please keep this from Jack and the others I don't want them worrying about this when exams and other stuff are going on” I asked “Doctor-Patient Confidentiality Jasmine I won't say a word unless you say otherwise but do your parents now” he asked seriously “yes sir and thank you so very much so I'll talk to you if anything happens” “alright have a good night and get plenty of rest I'll see you tomorrow.” “Thank you Dr Williams” I said as I hung up. Sliding down the wall I buried my face in my knees the tears I had been holding bach flooding down my face “of course they don't know how can I tell them they’ll be devastated even more so than I am plus where not even sure if we can solve this I can't take that possibility I don't want to give any of them false hope and they end up dying I don't want Momma, Daddy, Kiki, Sophie, Jack, or anyone I care about to worry about knowing them they’ll all think they could have done something even if they couldn't I just don't think I can handle this anymore” I cried to myself. I looked up hearing the kids inside from the wall hearing their laughing and playing “god what am I doing here” I said standing up “I shouldn't be playing poor pitiful me right now. The kids in this school are more important right now. They need me to be the strong me, not the crybaby me.” I said determinedly. Taking a breath I wiped my face taking another breath before starting towards the front of the school. As I turned the corner I saw a wide-eyed and shocked face Luke. (What the hell is he doing standing there? Did he here all that? oh god please tell me he didn't) I thought to myself worry stuck on my face. “Um” he stuttered “what are you still doing here,” I said defensively harshly. “I..um...I mean...you...and then. I didn’t mean to” he stuttered “ok I'm going to stop you right there. Whatever you heard or think you heard you didn't and if you say anything to anyone. I'll kill you got it? Now if you’ll excuse me I have a class to take care of.” I said as I moved passed him his expression of sadness and worry not flickering.

“By Momma by Daddy I'm off,” I said cheerfully. “Well your awfully cheerful this morning,” Momma said with her usual cup of coffee. “Yep,” I said, opening the door. The truth is that I'm so tired I could fall over. Furthermore, it's all thanks to Dr. Williams phone call and Luke but I'm not going to let anyone know that and worry. “And where do you think you're going, young lady.” Daddy asked, “oh Soph and I are going to hang out all day. We're doing stuff for the dance tomorrow.” I said acting excited “So hopefully we'll be back by five so Sophie can get her stuff here and get settled." I said smiling “what do you mean settled,” Daddy asked puzzled. “Momma and I told you! Since tomorrow's the dance Sophie and I wanted to have a sleepover and then get ready the next day. So I'll see y'all later by Kiki by Momma and Daddy,” I said as I closed the door, leaving Daddy speechless. The truth is I do have things to do with Sophie today but not till three o’clock after lunch. So I'm going to see Dr. Williams today for a checkup at ten. So it’ll take a little while since we're trying to keep this under wraps but still, it wouldn't hurt to be extra safe know would it. As I was riding my bike down the road I was listening to music humming more than singing so no one could hear me. When suddenly I saw Luke with Zac and Mia all holding hands one twin on either side of Luke. “Great seeing him so soon just what I need,” I said sarcastically. (But they do actually look kinda cute. The three of them together like that) I thought my scowl softening. Looking further down I noticed the crosswalk sign about to turn red. Spreading down the sidewalk I drifted across the crosswalk making it to the other side just as the light turned red. “Yes made it haha,” I said out loud in achievement. Mia hearing the laughter looked up. Noticing who it was as she pointed she yelled happily “Miss Jasmine Miss Jasmine!” waving excitedly “oh hello Mia, Zac…Luke” I said putting on a face for the kids. “What are you doing here Miss Jasmine,” Zac asked “Zac don't ask about a lady’s personal life that's rude,” Luke said shaking Zac’s hand that he held. (Says the one who was spying on me yesterday) I thought ironically. Noticing the look he was getting he quickly turned away. “Well Zac I'm going downtown to see someone,” I said answering Zac’s question Luke looking at me with realization. “C’mon guys Momma’s waiting for us,” he said pushing them past me with their pouting faces “ok by Miss Jasmine hope you have a good day,” Mia said waving “see you at school, Miss Jasmine,” Zac said waving to “bye guys,” I said waving back. I said waving back to them happily. with a sigh, I looked at my watch realizing it was already almost ten “crap I'm going to be late” I said to myself as I jumped on my bike hurrying in the opposite direction of Luke and the twins.
