Las Vegas

2022 Words
The following day Dora is up early, to the surprise of the three young wolves. She is up early and eager to go to Nevada. Rufus is not so keen. He does not trust a mountain called Mummy Mountian. Why is it called Mummy Mountain? Are there mummies? He looks at Stew. Stew always knows everything about these names, why they are called, what they are called, and all the history behind them. "Stew, why is it called Mummy Mountain? Are there mummies there?" Rufus asks Stew as they start driving in the direction of Las Vegas. "It takes its name from its vague resemblance to a mummy, or perhaps more accurately an Egyptian sarcophagus is seen in profile, with the "head" to the north formed by outcropping above Lee Canyon, the gently rounded main summit forming the "body," and a southern rise and cliffs forming the "feet," called "Mummy's Toe." This appearance is especially prominent from U.S. Route 95, which passes by the mountain to the east." Stew says who read up on the mountain as soon as he heard their next stop is Mummy Mountian.  "Thank goodness, so there are no mummies there," Rufus says as they drive to Mummy mountain. Dora is in a good mood. She will see LAs Vegas again. Although she has some sad memories about the place, she still loves Las Vegas. She is just happy that she and her three "children" will be together. She will also have to look out for them in Las Vegas as she does not trust the creature that lives there. A strong pack of werewolves runs that place, and she and the three young wolves will have to go and ask the Alpha permission to stay there. She does not want him to see them as rogues and kill them. She knows Darius is not a bad wolf, but he protects his territory and pack when he feels threatened. She knows Maisie is a strong Alpha, and he may see her as a threat if they do not go and talk to him first. It is more than a seven-hour drive, and Dora gets bored, so she starts drinking again. Her magic is at its strongest when she drinks anyway. She drinks her vodka and sings. The three young wolves' ears are sensitive, and the sounds that come out of Dora's mouth are not accessible on their werewolf ears. Rufus that sits next to Dora wishes she will pass out. He can not stand her singing anymore. Dora looks at Rufus as he keeps shaking his head and putting his finger in his ears. "Is my singing that bad?" She asks Rufus, who feels too sorry for her and does not want to hurt her feelings. "It is not that it is bad. It is just that our ears are susceptible to loud voices," Rufus says, and Dora smiles. She knows he loves her too much to hurt her. "I will stop with the singing," Dora says, and she smiles. Stew looks around. Where did Rufus learn that big word? What is happening to Rufus? He stops smelling bad, and he knows big words? That is not the Rufus he knows and loves. "Don't look at me like that. I have been studying a bit lately. So I know what susceptible means," Rufus says. "Okay, I don't know what happened to you, but you are still like a brother to me, and no matter how much you change, I still love you, bro!" Stew says, and Rufus smiles. He is still the same old Rufus. However, he is just happier now, and he is not so stressed all the time. It makes him relaxed, and when he is comfortable, he can remember stuff they learned in school. At lunchtime, they stop in a small town to eat lunch. The three wolves have a healthy appetite. They eat and Dora went to buy herself some vodka. As she comes back, she sees the three wolves are surrounded by what looks like a motorcycle gang. They are pushing Rufus and Stew around, and the one has Maisie over his shoulder. He is busy carrying her to a bedroom at the inn. Dora watches first. She wants Maisie to fight. Maisie gets mad as she sees her friends being bullied. She bites the guy that is carrying her on his ass and jumps off his shoulder. She kicks him in the balls, and as he bends over, she brings her knee to his face and knocks him out. Rufus and Stew see Maisie fight, and they start doing the same. Humans do not have the strength of werewolves. Rufus is strong and takes down about three of the gang in one blow. Maisie grabs one and throughs him over her shoulder. He lands hard on the ground. The people in town are looking on in awe. This gang has been a problem for them, and here are three teenagers f*****g them up. One of the gang grabs a baseball bat, but before he can hit anyone, Stew grabs it out of his hand and brings it down hard on the gangster's head. Soon all the gangsters are lying in pain on the ground. The people applause the three young kids and asked them if they did any martial arts. "We are used to fighting, where we come from," Is all Maisie says. She pays the innkeeper for their meal and the damage to his inn. He does not want to take the money, but Maise insists. So they get into their car and drive away. The leader and his friends get up. They are mad as hell and want to take it out on the town's people again, but to their surprise, the people stand up to them and fight back. The three young teenagers gave them courage. Dora smiles as they drive away. "Good fight!" Dora says, and Rufus and Stew smile. They fought back for the first time in their lives, and it felt good. Maisie also feels good and proud of the three of them. They fought as a team today, and they were victorious. The old Maisie, Stew, and Rufus would just have taken the beating and sat in a corner and cried. But, something is giving them courage, and Maisie is happy about it. She looks at Mother Dora in the rearview mirror. Mother Dora is looking proud. Maybe having someone that cares about them is giving them courage. They soon reach Las Vegas's outskirts, and Dora tells Maisie to drive to the Las Vegas leader's house. Maisie, Rufus, and Stew know how dangerous it is to enter a strong pack's territory. Nevertheless, she does as Dora says. The wolves sensed them entering the territory, and the leader and his warriors were waiting for them. Darius knows Dora as she gets out, and he looks at the three young wolves. He can sense that Maisie is no ordinary wolf. She has Alpha's blood in her veins. Darius invites them in, and his Luna joins them. Dora starts talking and telling him the story of the three orphans. Darius and his Luna have tears in her eyes after Dora tells them the story, and she makes it a bit worse than it was. They offer that the young wolves stay with their pack, but Dora tells them about their adventure, and the Alpha agrees that the young wolves can stay in his territory as long as they need to. All the wolves are informed about them and told to keep a special eye out for the three young wolves. Darius loves old Dora. For a very long time, he has known her. After talking with the young wolves and Dora, they get ready to leave as they still need to find a hotel room to stay in. As they drive away, Darius makes sure to tell his wolves to keep the four people safe. He does not want anything to happen to them in his territory. He knows Markus Blackwell. He knows Maisie Davids is his mate, and he does not want to get in trouble with Markus. Markus called him and said his mate would be coming to Las Vegas, and nothing better happen to her. Markus keeps in touch with Dora as well. He wants to make sure the wolves in the area that his mate is traveling through will look out for her as well. He knows he is well respected all over the state, and he has the strongest pack of them all. No one wants to be the enemy of Markus Blackwell and his Red Moon Pack. He can destroy a pack in a few hours. He is not ruthless, but if you mess with him. He will come after you and your pack, and you will die. So you do not anger Markus Blackwell in any way or form. If he tells you to jump, you ask how high. Maisie and her companions reach and nice-looking hotel and book it. Darius' pack watches them, making sure they will be safe in the hotel. Maisie reserves the top floor again, and the kids are tired of the whole day driving, having a fight, and meeting a new pack. They are hungry and order all the foods they like from the menu to send them to their room. Rufus wants the lobster, and Maisie feels like steak. Stew orders sushi as he has never eaten it before and wants to try it. It comes with wasabi. Stew, Maisie, and Rufus try it, and they love it. They are getting a chance of a lifetime to try everything they have never eaten before. Dora went to the casino, and she was enjoying herself when her cellphone rang. It is Markus. "How are things going?" Markus asks as Dora answers, and they greet each other. "Things are going great! The three young ones f****d up a whole motorcycle gang in a small town. I let them fight. It is about time they learn to protect themselves as well, and it gives them some self-esteem. You should have seen how proud the three of them were," Dora says, and Markus smiles on the other side. As Dora said, he knows his mate is strong and that she needed that fight to build up her self-esteem. "How are Darius and his pack treating you?" Markus asks. "Great, they even have wolves looking after your mate and her friends without them knowing," Dora says. "Great! I am happy," Markus says. "Did you find it?" Dora asks Markus, and he looks at Norma. They are on their way to the place Markus is feeling the pull. "Not yet. We are on our way there now," Markus says. He talks to Dora for a bit more before he hangs up. Dora went back to gambling. She is not happy about this map they are following, but she knows it is their destiny, and nobody can stop it. This is what they need to do. This is what they are meant to do. They need to destroy an evil so great that the ancestors decided to hide it until someone strong enough comes along to defeat it. She knows she can not defeat this evil but that the young wolves will keep it under control until they find the one weapon that can destroy it. The one thing that can destroy it. She and the three young wolves will have to keep it from destroying the world as they know it, while Markus and his sister must find the thing that can kill. This time for real. This time forever. The ancestors only had a temporary solution to the problem. It will be on them to find the final solution. They will have to fight for this world's fate and destroy an evil that is so bad that their ancestors could not destroy it. Dora starts drinking and gambling. She does not want to think about it right now. She is scared. She is worried for her "children" and this world.
