After the ceremony, the pack and Maisie can use their mind-link. Maisie wants to look for Markus, but she can not leave Arcasius on his own. She also does not want to tell her pack about the possibility of merging with the Red Moon Pack. The Red Moon Pack is the biggest in the Americas, and if they join with them, their pack will become rich and famous overnight. She does not want to give the Fullmoon pack hope. Markus may reject her as his Luna, and then what will happen? Her pack may hate her for not being able to win Markus' heart. Arcadius is sitting contemplating what to do about the hold Maisie seems to have over him. Stew walks over, and he gets an idea.
"Hi, Stew, I know you are a man of science. Want to try an experiment with me?" Arcadius says. Stew looks at him suspiciously.
