WEDDING

‎THIRD PERSON POV ‎ ‎Leviathan paced back and forth in his room, his mind still foggy from the abominable news he just received. ‎“Mom are you absolutely sure that Porsha deliberately pushed you to the ground?” He doubted once more, his face clouded with anger. ‎“I am absolutely sure son, she didn't even have the decency to apologize for it, instead she kicked me out of her house like a filthy slave,” Matilda said with tears in her eyes, her voice trembling with utter humiliation. ‎Leviathan's blood boiled, he immediately grabbed a near by flower vase and in one swift motion, sent it flying across the room. It crashed to the wall and scattered into a million pieces, stunning Matilda. ‎"Clark” He called out, his voice thunderous and in under seconds Clark ran in, “Yes, your highness” ‎“Send word to Vikland, tell them the wedding is off, and we will only meet at the battlefield” Leviathan commanded, his voice stern, as his eyes turned red. ‎Matilda's lips curved into a sinister smile, as she watched over. Her plan was working, she just planted the seed of hatred in Leviathan's mind and now it was time to watch it blossom. ‎She would make sure that Porsha would never amount to anything more than a servant in Leviathan's household. Porsha called her a servant, it was time to make Porsha serve under her. ‎“Your majesty are you sure?" Clark doubted with wide eyes. His mind flooded with confusion as he looked between Leviathan and Matilda. ‎Leviathan turned to him, his eyes fuming red as he asked through gritting teeth, “Do I look like I'm joking?" ‎“Not at all, Emperor. Forgive my impulsiveness” Clark apologized, dropping to his knees. ‎“I will be sure to follow your orders to the latter” He added, but came to an abrupt halt, upon hearing the sound of Matilda's voice. ‎“There will be no need for that Clark" She said casually, as she walked towards the both of them. ‎ ‎Leviathan's intrigues were immediately plagued and he turned towards her with a puzzled frown. ‎“What are you saying mother? I need to punish Porsha and her people for her disrespect” He said, his voice striking like lightening. ‎Matilda didn't reply, instead she turned towards Clark and requested, “Leave us, please” ‎Clark glanced at her, his eyes darkening with annoyance but still he flashed a small smile, agreed and excused himself. ‎With him out of the way Matilda turned to Leviathan, hoping to clear the air. ‎“Son you can't just call off an important wedding engagement because of a common servant” She said in her usual sad tone, as she took on the persona of a humble nest maid who raised the heir of the Ember nest empire single handedly and required no honor. ‎“A servant who raised a king isn't considered as a mere servant. She has our grown the post of a servant and is now a queen mother in her own right” Leviathan explained, his tone sharp. ‎“Even so son, a servant is still a servant, and royalty remains royalty. Our blood can not be changed” She exclaimed, her voice laced with humility. ‎"Mother don't say that,” Leviathan rebuked, taking her hands in his, “I don't care much for blood, status, or position. All I know is that you have raised me, protected me, cared and nurtured me. You have made the man I am today, and I value you more than my own mother. I will do anything for you, so if anybody thinks they could mess with you, I will make sure they regret it for the rest of their pathetic existence” Leviathan informed sternly. ‎“Exactly son, so why then do you wish to end your enemy's suffering so soon?” She asked, plaguing Leviathan's intrigues. ‎He narrowed his eyes and with a raised brow gesturing for her to continue. ‎“You see son, going back on your decision doesn't speak well of you and I will be damned if I let you go down this path of destruction” Matilda said acrimoniously. ‎“What would you rather I do mother? Forgive her?" Leviathan asked, his eyes peeled on her. ‎“Yes” Matilda said and Leviathan froze. ‎“Hear me out son, Porsha is but a child doing childish things. It would be stupid of you to let her have way, by refusing this marriage" Matilda explained, her tone low and stern. ‎”I don't understand you mother. If you wanted me to still marry that woman, why bother telling me of all the things she did to you?" Leviathan doubted, a dull ache rising in his brain as he tried reasoning Matilda's actions. ‎Matilda smiled, and replied, “It's simple, I wanted to see what is more important to you, the bonds you have formed or the post of an Emperor?" ‎“And what conclusion did you come to?" Leviathan asked with a curious frown. ‎“That you still have a lot to learn my boy" She explained, her tone definitive, “An emperor's responsibility is first to his people then himself” ‎Leviathan searched Matilda's eyes for a couple of seconds, then burst into a fit of laughter. ‎“Well said mother” He said sternly, his tone absolute, “I shouldn't let Porsha defeat me so easily, instead I would break her” ‎“That's the spirit son. You are an emperor, the rest have no choice but to submit to you" She voiced with a smile, her tone laced with approval. ‎“Now with that out of the way, shall we leave?” Matilda asked, offering him a hand. ‎“Of course” He said with a nemesing smirk, taking her hand and they walked out. ‎ ‎The trip to Vikland was short and quiet. At the time they arrived at Vikland the wedding venue was already fill with guests. ‎Leviathan walked into the hall, and immediately moved to the front, where his bride was seated with a gigantic frown on her face, as she had a deep discussion with the priest. ‎Porsha wore a beautiful, fitting white glittering dress, adored with the finest of diamonds. ‎Her make up was mild, with a simple eyeliner and red lipstick. Her hair was made up in a middle ponytail and she wore a breathtaking transparent white veil which glittered across the room. ‎The mere sight of Porsha made Leviathan's breathe cease for a few seconds. ‎“Greetings priest. Sorry for the lateness, something came up" Leviathan apologized, taking a seat next to Porsha. ‎“It's fine son. Shall we begin?" The Priest questioned and Leviathan nodded. ‎“What came up that you had to come late to your own wedding?” Porsha asked in a whisper, her tone venomous. ‎She couldn't quite understand why Leviathan couldn't just reject this marriage already. ‎Leviathan mind immediately moved from his lustful thoughts back to reality, he composed himself but instead of apologizing he simply said, “You look beautiful” ‎His words, although pure and simple didn't sit well with Porsha, she found his comment to be provocative, “That wasn't the apology I was expecting” ‎“Apology?” Leviathan asked with a little chuckle, “Princess where I come from women wait for their husbands” ‎“And where I come from grooms wait for their brides, not the other way around" Porsha counter argued. ‎Leviathan's blood boiled, was she trying to challenge his authority as her husband?. ‎He clenched his fist in, and through gritting teeth said, “Can we not begin our marriage life with arguments” ‎“Whatever?" Porsha said with distain, as she rolled her eyes and turned towards the priest. ‎ ‎The rest of the marriage proceeding went as planned but when it came to the you may now kiss the bride, disaster struck. ‎Leviathan lifted Porsha's veil, a smile on his face as he grabbed Porsha by the cheek, leaning in for a kiss. ‎"Finally I would have a taste of you Porsha. You would have no choice but to please me infront of everyone here” He thought, a warm feeling of excitement brewing in his chest but unfortunately his excitement was short lived as Porsha barely brushed her lips against him, wiping off her lips in one swift movement. ‎Everything about Leviathan disgusted Porsha. She hated the feeling of his lips against hers. His lips felt like hot milk, tasty but dangerous, but that wasn't the reason why she wiped off his kiss, the reason was she had seen the smirk on Leviathan's face before the kiss, and wanted to show him that she can't be subdued by the likes of him. ‎Leviathan's blood boiled, his anger palatable as he clinged his cheek bone, not only did she deprive him of his right as her husband but she disrespected him, and openly showed her hate for him. ‎At this point, Leviathan so badly wanted to walk out, but before he did that he glanced at the face of the only person who could calm him. ‎He looked at Matilda, hoping to get some answers and sure enough he did, Matilda flashed a smile back at him, sending him a thumbs up. ‎To many it seemed she was genuinely happy for Leviathan but Leviathan knew the truth, she was sending a message. ‎She was telling Leviathan to have some patience, it was just a matter of time before Porsha's pride would be destroyed. ‎
