Chapter 5

**Later that night** Ben parked his car in the parking lot, getting out with the two ladies. To onlookers, it might seem like he had the ladies accompanying him due to his masculine and attractive appearance. Despite being gay, Ben's look defied the typical stereotype. He was a tall, well-built man with wine-tinted hair and three piercings. As a black man with striking features, girls would often swoon over him, but he had come out as gay at 15 and had been proudly part of the queer community since then. Blair looked at herself through the car mirror and smiled. She wore a black armless bodycon dress that barely covered her curvy hips. Paired with boots, she applied minimal lip gloss and her shiny black hair was tied up in a messy bun. Wearing a black choker and holding only her phone, she exuded an innocent yet baddie vibe. Nancy, on the other hand, wore shorts and an off-the-shoulder top, paired with sandals. Her hair was styled into two braids, and she carried a purse containing her phone and other items. "We're good to go, right?" Ben asked. "Of course," Nancy said enthusiastically. Ben held both their hands as they stepped into the club. Jay's 5 Star Club was one of the biggest clubs in the state, a multifaceted establishment that served as a bar, club, dinner house, and hotel. The massive building had at least 30 floors and elevators for easy and quick access for customers. The party was already in full swing, with people dancing and swaying to the DJ's music. Ben and the two girls joined the crowd, determined to have a good time. "Let's get drinks," Nancy yelled over the loud music. "Y'all go, I'm going to meet my man," Ben said with a coy smile. "Oooouuu," Blair teased, as she and Nancy danced their way to the bar. They both sat on stools, and a bartender greeted them with a welcoming smile. "What shall I get you, madams?" he asked. Nancy flirted, "Well, well, well, bartenders now performing strip shows? Me likey." She eyed his muscular chest, only covered by suspenders. "Anything to please our customers," he said coyly. "I'll get a whiskey sour. What will you have, Blair?" Nancy asked. Blair scanned the menu. "I'll have a margarita tequila," she said. The bartender nodded and quickly prepared their drinks. "A professional, I see," Nancy commented. "Practically, been working here since I was legal," he replied. "That's cool," Nancy said, downing her drink in one go. She let it sink in and smiled. "Let's go dance," she said to Blair. "No, no, go first. Have fun," Blair replied, looking at her drink. Nancy shrugged and walked away. Blair smiled at her drink, picked it up slowly, and drank it in one go. She sat quietly for a while, and the bartender watched her while preparing drinks for other patrons. "I'll take another," she said. He smiled and made her another drink. "Something on your mind?" he asked as he handed it to her. She sighed, took the drink in one go, and said, "Another." He smiled and prepared another. "Why's a beauty like you soaking herself in the arms of alcohol?" a voice said. Blair turned to see an unfamiliar guy sitting beside her. She looked back at the bartender. "Another," she repeated, ignoring the guy. He smiled, amused, watching her drink again. "You really should stop," he said. "Oh, please," she replied, clearly drunk. She laughed like a maniac. "Don't tell me what to do," she pouted, looking extremely cute. The guy found himself admiring her. "You're so pretty," he said. Blair shrugged and continued drinking. "Andrew!" a voice shouted. The guy beside Blair turned to see who called him. "Oh, s**t," he muttered. Blair stared at the approaching lady, who looked furious. She gasped—it was her boss, Bianca, who hated her. Bianca stormed over to her fiancé's side and immediately noticed Blair. The look of hatred Blair gave her was so intense it almost scared Bianca. She stared at both of them like she had caught them in the middle of having s*x, she was fuming inside, she knew how her boyfriend was, and knew how badly he wanted to get out of her clutches, but he didn't have much choice, and she had caught him several times trying to 'get to know' other women and now it was Blair, the b***h she hated with every fiber in her, she wouldn't have it. Ever!
