We were walking down the bumpy road in the forest peacefully while she interrupted it and said, “You know what. Greed, I hate you for giving doing that boost”
I looked at her and said cheekily, “Oh really???... ~FLOAT~”
“Hey. stop, hey greed. HEY. HEY.” - Vivien
I looked at her and smiled “hehehe ~FLAME BOOST~”
As we rise into the air, she shouted, “GREEEEDDD, I HATE YOOUUU...”

While we were soaring through the sky we saw a town below us, hidden in the trees. The sun is already setting and we look at each other and agree to land there in search of a guildhall and a place to rest. While we’re going down to the town, a fog slowly enveloped us and a cold breeze started to blow, before we noticed the mist, it surrounded us. Vivien started shaking and I asked her if she’s fine, she answered back in a quivering voice “yeah, just feeling a bit chilly.”
We landed on the ground and reached a town unknown to our knowledge. We looked around and everything seemed to be abandoned. The windows are shut and curtains over them. The few people that are outside are in ripped and shabby clothing. We tried to talk to them and ask about the guild hall but the people didn’t answer us. They avoided making contact with us and walked away. The two of us didn’t know what to do at that moment. Vivien said to me “Should we just leave. I feel a bit weird about this place”.
“C’mon. We’re already in a town. We just need to raise our ranks and save up enough money”
“Alright let's just finish this quickly and leave.”
“Of course, let’s just look for a guildhall, rest, and first thing in the morning, we'll leave”
While we were walking around, looking for it, a strange old man with a cane and ripped clothing. He asked us “are you young ones looking for the guildhall?”
“Yeah, would you mind if you guide us there?”
“Ohh, I see. Follow me and stay close or else you might get lost in the fog.” while he’s guiding us, he started to talk. “I’m very sorry about the people here, they are just… very tired.”
I asked him, “tired?... what do you mean by tired?”
“This town has already succumbed to poverty and hunger.”
“Huh? And why is that?”
“We’re here, this is the guildhall. Just go inside and look.”
I looked at the hall and it was just a little shack. It seems to be kind of run down and broken but nonetheless, we went inside. Vivien held my clothes and asked her, “Are you scared???”
She replied to me immediately “NO. I’m not.”
“Then let’s go”
We went inside this broken-down shack and the receptionist was the old man who we just left outside. I was confused by the person who is in front of me right now.
The old man said “welcome, young lads, this is the Ouroboros guild hall.”
I showed him my Wooden Dark Knight Badge and asked. “Umm. Are there any quests in this town?”
“Well... for your rank. Unfortunately, there is only one quest.” he showed me a paper consisting of the details of the quest. I took it without reading and left the guildhall. “C’mon Vivien, let’s find a place to rest.”
“There’s an inn just beside this building, you can rest over there.”
“No thanks. we’ll just leave the village and come back tomorrow.”
“Young lads. I guess you didn’t know that people can’t leave this village when the sun has already set.”
“Huh? Why? What happened?”
“You see that fog that’s enveloping the town. Whenever the sun sets, it will engulf the town and people will be trapped inside. You can go inside the mist but you can’t get out. If you try you’ll just be running in circles. It's better if you, young lads, wait until the sun rises.”
“Alright, thanks.”
We walked towards the inn and it was still an old and run-down building. At this point, I started to get worried because the receptionist is once again, the old man. “Welcome, young ones, to the Ouroborus Inn.”
I immediately said “one room, one night, two beds.”
“Unfortunately, we don’t have two beds in this inn. we only have one bed per each room.”
“Fine, how much?”
“Just three silvers?”
I gave the money to the old man and he said “just pick any room you want. There’s no one here anyway.”
We went up to one of the rooms and settled there. I let Vivien sleep on the bed while I sat on the floor.
