A year later. she became the prince's wife. She was a loving and pure wife. She would always help the prince just like before as they lived a happy life in the castle. His undying determination and kindness for her made Jeanne be satisfied with her life.                         She could say that this was her happily ever after but fate didn't let it end there. Prince Lucius and Jeanne decided that they wanted to live a normal life, and the prince didn’t want the throne. He didn’t want the power, the wealth, the glory. All he wanted was a peaceful and ordinary life with Jeanne, without the worries of being killed for being royalty. He just wanted their safety. Unfortunately, his dream wasn't allowed. Without him, the heir to the throne would be empty and the nobles would fight for it but the prince was stubborn. He would always try to escape the castle with Jeanne and they would always fail. Every escape, the fear of king Arthur might come true. The fear of his kingdom being destroyed. The king was afraid that the people's paradise would become hell. That’s why the king decided that it would be best if they were locked in the castle.                   King Arthur wasn't aware at that moment that his single order would lead to their demise. The moon shines brightly as the night descends upon them. Everyone was asleep except for the king. He was standing in the middle of his room, talking but no one was there “The time has come, sooner than I expected. I'm sorry but I must resist for I have yet to fulfill my final wish;” he said. Suddenly, the clouds slowly covered the moon. The moonlight became dimer and dimer and before it became completely dark. The moon became red. The king suddenly started running to pick up his sword. He immediately went to his fighting position, waiting for the enemy to show itself but no one came. Instead, the floor became black like an abyss and hands started to appear from the floor. The king slashed his sword to prevent the hands from coming near him. The hands were cut one by one but sadly he was overwhelmed. As he desperately tried to survive he screamed on top of his lungs “GUAARRRDSS!! GUAAARRDDSSS!!!!” But no one came, no one could hear his scream; Prince Lucius unexpectedly woke up from his slumber. His heart started palpitating, he was shivering in fear. He has no idea what is happening right now. He woke Jeanne up beside him and as she opened her eyes, she immediately felt like she was gonna die. They were both in the same state, they feel like death was just beside them. Surprisingly, they heard the scream coming from the king’s chamber. Out of worry, they ran through the hallway, and as they reached the room, with the king’s dying breath. He said “RUN. son… I’m sorry” They looked at the floor and once again the hand started to appear. They followed his father’s order and they started running as fast as they could. The hands started stretching and it chased both of them. The prince looked at Jeanne's face and smiled. He said “let’s split up, remember the new escape route we made, you can go to our room first while I ran the other direction” Jeanne knows that he might betray her but she agrees without hesitation because he’s the one who gave her a second chance in life. For her, he was her savior so she’s willing to give her life for him but that wasn’t the case. As she was running to the room, she looked back and saw his husband, prince Lucius Arturius Faust, standing proudly, blocking the hands from getting to her. A tear dropped on her face but she knows that she must live, she must live in order to get her revenge. That's why all she can do right now is run, run while she can. The moment she reached their room she immediately opened the cabinet which has a hole in the bottom that leads to the kitchen. It was blocked by wood so that no one would notice the hole.  She jumped down but the height of the fall broke her right leg. She forced herself to get up even though it was very hard. The injury was enough to make her scream but she endured it so the enemy won't notice her. She started staggering away from the room but there was no one to be found, there were no guards, no maids, no people. Jeanne thought that she was lucky because there was no one to stop her from escaping. She forced herself to run as fast as she could in her crippled state. Finally, she reached the front gate of the castle. Jeanne’s tired body exerted her remaining strength to open it and suddenly, everything seemed normal and the people who were gone came back. Jeanne was tired, injured, crippled, and… broken, once again. As she staggered through the sunrise, tears flowed down on her face. Without any time to mourn for her loved ones, she walks away crying in defeat. ***** The morning came and the guards were patrolling when they saw that the castle was in shambles, The hallway was a mess and some of the furniture was destroyed.  No one knows what happened that night, even the guards and the maids don't know. They had no idea because they didn't hear a single noise coming from the room. They found the prince’s body in the hallway, all shriveled up. His skin was all wrinkled and the blood was all gone as if someone took all it; they hurried to get to the king’s room only to find that the king was dead. They searched the whole castle for some clues but they only found the hole in the cabinet. and Jeanne was nowhere to be found. They thought that she did all of this mess. They thought that she used the prince to assassinate the royal family. THEY THOUGHT THAT SHE… betrayed the kingdom like a dog who bites the hand of its feeder. That’s what they believed in because the nobles did not like a commoner on the throne. No normal human being could kill in such a way that all the blood was drained and thus she was branded as a witch. She wasn't aware of the danger she was in, at that time. All she knows is that if she goes back to the castle, she will be blamed and no one would listen to her for she was once a slave. She stayed outside the main city walls, alone with a crippled and injured leg, mourning for her husband. She lived but at what cost, the thing that she treasured the most was gone, the thing that she wanted the most was gone, the thing that she longed for, a family… was gone. She was filled with sadness, rage, and suffering. She cried and cried and cried until she felt numb, all of her emotions built up until Jeanne broke down. All she could think of is revenge. She was swallowed by madness. She felt like she was constantly falling into an endless abyss and she was consumed by the darkness in her heart. Out of nowhere, an unknown black liquid was coming out of the ground as it slowly turned into a silhouette of a person with a tail. Jeanne was shocked and traumatized for what happened previously. She doesn’t know what to do anymore, her will to live was destroyed. Suddenly the silhouette talked to her, “Would you like to form a contract with me, would you like me to grant your wish." Filled with anger and sadness, she agreed without hesitation. She wished that they were alive. She wished that the prince and the king were still here, alive. She wished that she could bring the dead back to life. That night, a contract was formed between Jeanne and the silhouette but she didn't expect her power to be like this. She didn’t expect that she would pull the dead from their slumber and control them. She never wanted for this to happen... Alas, this is all she could do, this is all she had but she will get her revenge. she will take everything back
