Falling asleep somewhere between the funeral and home, I wake up to Brandon carrying me up to the house, ever so gently. When he glances at me briefly, he notices that I am awake and then promptly smiles before leaning down to place a warm, wet kiss on my lips. A little moan escapes from them as he slips his tongue in. Of course, he doesn’t pay attention to where he is going, so he trips on the front steps and we both teeter on the brink of falling to the ground.
After maneuvering left and then right, he manages to save us just in time as I feel him straighten his taut body, and say jokingly, “Well s**t. That was a close one. I could have sworn that we were both goners there for a second or two.” before he looks down at me quickly again with love in his eyes.
We both laugh whole hearted
