Chapter 14: Claimed in Every Way
Elena stood by the bedroom door, watching Jaxon button his cufflinks. The tension between them was different now—less dangerous, more deliberate. Like a game neither of them wanted to win too quickly.
She stepped into the room slowly, letting the silk robe slip off her shoulder.
He noticed.
Jaxon didn’t speak. He didn’t have to. His gaze roamed her body like it had every right to, but he didn’t move. Not until she said—
“You can come closer.”
He obeyed immediately.
In two strides, he was in front of her, his breath brushing her lips but his hands staying at his sides. That restraint made her bold.
“I want something,” she whispered, her hands trailing up his chest, over the crisp shirt he hadn’t finished tucking in.
“Tell me,” he rasped.
“I want to know what it feels like when you don’t hold back.”
His jaw clenched. “You’re sure?”
Elena nodded, her voice unwavering. “Yes. But this time… I’m not your property. I’m your partner.”
That did something to him—something primal.
He scooped her into his arms, carrying her to the bed with a reverence that turned to raw heat as soon as she landed.
The clothes came off in a blur. His body pressed against hers, heavy, solid, and hungry. But still, he waited.
“Say it,” he growled against her skin. “Tell me you want this.”
“I want you,” she breathed. “All of you.”
That was all it took.
He pinned her wrists above her head, his mouth descending with possessive urgency. He kissed her like a man starved, nipping down her throat, along her collarbone, lower still.
Every inch of her body was touched, claimed, owned—not by force, but by need.
“Mine,” he whispered against her skin. “In every way.”
She arched against him, breathless, her nails scraping down his back.
The pace was punishing. The pleasure, overwhelming.
He whispered things—filthy, worshipful things—against her ear as he moved within her, filling her completely. Her body answered to his like it was made for only him.
She came undone with a cry, trembling in his hold.
But he wasn’t finished.
Jaxon flipped her gently, pinning her to the mattress from behind, his voice a deep command. “Again.”
And she obeyed.
Because this wasn’t just s*x.
It was surrender—mutual, powerful, and earth-shattering.
