The man was so beautiful that Nina's heart ached to touch him. He was looking at her with longing and so much desire, his grey eyes promising her a life of happily ever after...

"Nina?"
Her head was swimming. She tried to rise, but a hand pressed her back down.
"Rest, Nina"
She obeyed the voice.

"Who is the girl, Robert?"
Alpha Robert looked at the Prince, his future king, and than thought of his niece resting in her bedroom upstairs.
"Her name is Nina Grayson, she too is my niece." Robert sighed thinking of the irony between Bethany and Nina's situation. Both come under his roof and in a matter of months they're both mated to royal Lycans. Ironic indeed.
"Damn, she engraved my beast." Keith growled at the Alpha.
"Yes, it would seem that she did."
Keith cursed. This was not what he wanted when he came to the Grayson's packhouse he had simply wanted a fight to easy the anger he felt over losing Bethany, but instead he gets a mate. A mate he didn't want with the bonus of an engravement meaning a rejection was damn near impossible.
His beast was anxious as he pranced around in his head longing to go to the girl and mark her like she had engraved him. He was finding it hard to contain his beast's excitement. He on the other hand was weary and ready for this day to end.
"Give me the girl and I'll be on my way Robert."
Robert looked at the Prince, slightly shocked.
"She is not going to go with you willingly, your highness. She is not accustomed to our world, as she has just learned of our kind."
"I don't care! She is mine and I will make her understand!" Keith growled. He stared at the Alpha until he bared his neck in submission.
"As you wish your highness."
Alpha Robert arose and went upstairs to where Nina laid with his mate standing at her bedside. Nina had engraved the Prince when she intervene trying to protect him. Robert knew it once the Prince's beast obeyed her command to stop. Robert knew the beast would never hurt Nina, but it was the prince who might hurt his niece
The prince was still nursing a raw wound from his choice mate being destined to his cousin. The man and beast were in two different mind frames. The beast had found his soul, but the man had lost his.
