"What the hell happened when you went to the pack house?" Keith was trembling with anger as he looked at his cousin, who had the nerve to smile at him.

"Keith he told you son, the mate bond happened instantly and he marked her before he could stop himself, not that it would have changed anything." The king put his cigar down and looked at his son with an understanding look. Keith was his first born, he was his legacy as king of the beast world. Keith resembled his mother more so than the generic make of the St Claire Lycan clan that consisted of blonde hair and green eyes a trait very few males in the St Claire clan failed to get, yet his first born came out with dark brown hair and grey eyes like his mother and where they were tall with bulk, Keith was tall with a lean athlete build, but all the more reason not to under estimate him.

"But how is this even possible, what happened to the Lycan curse?"

"Son, it's just a myth that Lycan's don't have mate bonds its a rare occurrence, but it's possible. Terry happened to be one of those rare occurrences, he is smitten with the girl there is no way this is an act Keith. He's your favorite cousin, who would not have betrayed you this way."

"He knows that." Terry whispered.

Keith was mad a hell. He needed someone to blame and he knew who he was going to make pay for this.

"You marked her before a ceremony?" Keith asked without looking at his cousin.

"Keith, it was beyond my control, my beast took full control of me! It was just like earlier in the sitting room, when it comes to her my beast knows no bounds." Keith almost felt sorry for his cousin who looked just as confused at his actions for Bethany.

"Could there had been another way since Bethany was a rejected mate?"

The king looked at his son, "Keith, there was no way for anyone to have known about the girl being Terry's mate. It seemed that fate dealt you a nice hand because think if you had not sent Terry what would have happened once her met her? A life would have surely being taken." The king hated the thought of either the boys killing the other.
