If someone had told me a year ago that I’d be chosen to represent Crescent Moon High at a regional academic tour, I would’ve laughed—bitterly. Not because I doubted my intelligence. No, my brain had always been my shield, my escape. But because no one at my school ever saw me. Not really. To them, I was just the bullied Omega, the girl who did their homework in silence, who took the blame when their projects went missing and their essays were late.
