Jade’s POV The rain pounded against the school roof like an angry drum, loud and relentless. Gray clouds cloaked the sky, casting everything in a dull, oppressive shadow. The temperature had dropped drastically since morning—so much so that I could see my breath when I pressed my face against the cold glass of the library window. I should’ve left earlier.
