Christine went upstairs with Jacob. She came down a moment later, looking a little disoriented. She almost missed a step when she went downstairs. Fortunately, Ryon caught her in his arms just in time.
He was concerned when he noticed the faraway look in her eyes. "What's the matter with you, honey?"
She forced a smile. "Nothing."
His expression darkened. "We are a couple. Please let me know if there is anything wrong."
