Jane I woke to sunlight streaming through unfamiliar floor-to-ceiling windows, and for a blissful half-second, I didn't remember. Then it all came crashing back. The wedding. Hudson and Maribel. The apartment and job I lost. Everything. My eyes felt like sandpaper. They were swollen and tender from hours of crying.
