Intimidation

Chapter 10

We walked out of our room and saw Gabriel sitting on the couch with our parents.

They all turned towards us and stared.

I felt like something was wrong with my outfit and started looking around myself to try to figure out what it was.

"You both look beautiful. My darling daughters" mom said,looking as if she was about to cry.

We walked over to her as we took more pictures and videos with her just to have as this was my first date and our first double date.

Once we were done mom had to wipe her tears with a cloth and I sort of felt bad for leaving her like this.

She's never seen me in a relationship and I didn't tell her about my last one because I knew he was just using me for my skills and not for the real me.

Mom has been gone for a while and I didn't want to worry her with the reality of my life so i just smiled and hugged her.

Gabriel came up to us as we sent eachother the images and videos and I started to get nervous.

Usually I wouldn't dress like this and try to impress a guy but he has this effect on me that just makes me want to be myself around him and I love that.

All of my other relationships never ended well and not to say this would turn out to be a relationship but I'm very much open to the idea with Gabriel.

He's sweet,kind and I feel very very safe around him.

Not like I ever have before and I'm so grateful for him.

But I can't help but wonder who called him and why he didn't answer.

"Mom are you sure you're going to be okay? I wouldn't want to leave you here if-"

"No no nonsense sweetheart. I am fine. I'm just so happy my daughters found guys who can take care of them and protect them when I'm not around" she said smiling at Gabriel.

So this is a date?

Guys?

What does she mean by that?

I looked at Lyla who had the biggest smile and I could tell there was something she wanted to show me.

I hugged mom once more before we walked out of the door and downstairs to the big front door.

We stood at the door as Gabriel put on blindfolds for us both and we were both lead out by someone.

We got to a vehicle and got inside and Gabriel took the blindfolds off.

But this time we were in a limousine.

I felt so fancy and just couldn't help myself to the small caramel candies that were back here with us.

I turned to look at Lyla who had the same smile I did.

"So,what would you girls like to order?"

Gabriel said.

I looked at him confused and he handed us 2 menus.

"Everything looks to expensive" Lyla said.

"But..how does this work? Aren't we supposed to order over the phone or in person?" I asked.

Gabriel smiled and shook his head.

"No. Although that would be nice. But my parents thought it would be fun and different for people to order this way. It gives them a different feeling when they walk in and I tell the cook what people would like. It does take more time but it's worth it" he said.

I nodded and looked through the menu for something that I would like.

I choose to just pick a shrimp cocktail with some white wine and a chocolate cake for desert.

I've never been able to order things like this but I also don't wan too overdue it.

Lyla picked hers and we both handed Gabriel our menus as he wrote all of the orders down.

We parked in front of the restaurant and Gabriel got out to open the doors as Lyla and I climbed out and our jaws dropped.

There was a faint sound of violin music in the background,as a long maroon and purple carpet was all over the ground.

There was a water fountain to our right and I couldn't help but walk over and pass my hand through the water.

Feeling as if this was a dream that I never wanted to wake up from,I closed my eyes and forgot about all of the issues and troubles that have come into my life for the last few months.

This is the feeling I've been waiting for.

"Camilla. Let's go. We have to go get our table" Gabriel said.

I walked back over to them and he led us inside.

There were so many people here,as I expected.

Gabriel walked over to a booth and we all sat down as someone came to bring us bread and something that looked like a sweet butter spread.

"Thank you" Gabriel said,handing the man the piece of paper he wrote out orders on.

The man nodded and walked away and I couldn't help but look around at everything.

I could see so many things that had diamonds and sparkles in them and I just felt so relaxed by the soft background music.

"This is so..fancy. But are you sure we have a way to pay for our food?" I asked.

Gabriel smiled and nodded.

"Of course I do. You don't have to worry about anything tonight Camilla. This is my treat and I wanted to do something special for you both" he said.

I smiled and looked around again,and noticed a man I've never seen before was walking towards us with a big bright smile.

"Good evening my beautiful queen. How are you tonight? And is this your sister?" He said to me.

I raised my eyebrows and tried to not be rude but I had no idea who this man was.

"Do I know you? You must have the wrong person" I said.

He laughed and sat down next to Gabriel.

"I'm just joking with you Camilla. I'm Evan,Lyla's boyfriend. Nice to meet you" he said.

I looked at Lyla and she smiled as she looked down.

"Boyfriend?" She said.

"Well yeah. If you want me to be that is" he said.

She smiled and nodded.

"Aww so adorable. Just treat my sister right or you'll have to deal with us" I said.

We all laughed and I put a piece of bread on my plate.

I reached for a knife but Evan did the same at the same time and our fingers brushed against eachother.

I tried to control my anger and I kept my eyes down as I moved my hand towards another knife.

I looked at Gabriel and Lyla and saw them both talking and looking around at the other people.

I looked back at Evan and he winked.

Disgusting.

I rolled my eyes and got a really bad feeling about him.

I wanted to tell Lyla come to the bathroom with me to tell her what he did but I didn't want to ruin this night for her.

"I will be back. I need to use the bathroom" I said getting up and walking towards the red curtain and walked into the womens bathroom.

This night is not turning out how I expected it to be and if this guy does something else inappropriate I'm going to say something.

Once I was done I walked out to see Evan standing there.

"What do you want? And what are you doing? You know what you did was not okay" I said,crossing my arms.

He smirked and looked over in the direction of our table as he walked closer.

"Move." I said.

I quickly and unnoticeably called Lyla so she could hurry up and come over here.

"You know you like me. I'm not the kind of person to reject such a beautiful woman. Lyla and Gabriel don't have to know anything" he said.

"Oh I think we will" Gabriel said from behind him.

Evan turned around shocked and then walked over to Lyla,who had her arms crossed and looked at him as if she was going to punch him.

"Babe. Your sister tried to hit on me and wanted me to go into the bathroom with her but I said no. What you heard just now was me trying to go along with it and then text you to come over here and see it for yourself" he said.

I couldn't help but laugh.

"You really are a jerk. I heard everything you said. All this time I tried to ignore everyone who told me that and now..just stay away from me. We're done. Come on Camilla" she said.

We walked out and back to our booth as Evan stood there looking surprised.
