-Laelia- I had no idea how they had managed to get this far. They had fled all the way back to an old castle that seemed to stand isolated in the middle of nowhere. I saw Erika’s horse tethered outside as the rain poured down on me. I dismounted and approached the castle. It had taken me a while to track them, and darkness had settled in, but I had found them. I spotted a light glowing in one of the ground-floor rooms. I walked up to the heavy wooden door, grasped the iron handle, and pushed it open. The door creaked ominously as it swung inward, and I stepped inside. My boots made a deep, hollow sound on the red carpet that lay at the entrance.
