ALANA After whining and screaming for long, I sat close to the door my hair falling on my face with my chest rising and falling. Indeed I'm whining because all he did was set his magazine down on the study table and fix his focus on it. He cared less about me, and he also knew I was acting like a baby right now. Because the laws in Villa Concordia are meant to be followed, even he can't go against it. I drew my legs closed and wrapped my hands around my body. The air conditioner deserved jail time because my bare legs were freezing. I'm still in my big t-shirt, and underneath it were my panties and nothing else. My outfit was not suited for a room like this. If not for that attack or commotion that happened. I would have still been in my room sleeping fine and peacefully, and over there it was warm. Guess living at Villa Concordia means stealing your peace and moments away. From now on, no more sleeping fine and comfortably in any clothes of my choice; I should always get myself prepared for the worst. I stayed that way for a while with my eyelids suddenly heavy. I felt sleepy, and when I glanced at the bed, it was just one. Although it was quite big, one of us would have to lie on the bed and another elsewhere. Well, I'm choosing the bed; I don't care where this Romano sleeps in. I reluctantly glanced at him, and our gaze met; then he turned his focus back on his magazine. He's always staring. Always staring at me like one who's watching and observing his enemy, and I'm giving a lot of clues away. Because he's calm and calculative while I'm talkative and less calculative. I haven't picked up anything about him aside from the fact that he chuckles a lot. But I can bet he already knows a lot more about me. I lazily stood up and headed towards the bed, then stopped and turned towards him. "I will lie on the bed while you lie elsewhere," I said, falling on the bed and stooping halfway after hearing what he said. "Don't tell me you expect me to lie on the couch?" "Yes, where else?" I c****d a brow at him, and he turned towards the bed. "That thing could fit half the villa, so don't embarrass yourself" His eyes returned to me, and he added. "Relax. Trust me, like I said…you're not my type" And that was all to throw me off the cliff. "You...." "You won't sleep on this bed with me, and that's final!" I jumped on the bed and spread my legs widely. "Not that I'm staring, but do you realize you're wearing something not so good underneath your shirt?" He asked, and I immediately jammed my legs together after realizing what he just pointed at. "The f**k!! How dare you??" I dragged my shirt downwards. Heat rushing to my face. I couldn't believe he is such a pervert. "I'm not a pervert if that's what you're thinking, and I don't fancy anything about you. I'm just saying it because I felt women should know how to carry themselves in the presence of men, except you're planning to seduce me." He stood up and headed towards the window, staring out of it, while I remained frozen in shock. Again I've lost to him. He seems quite sharped-tongued than me. I grabbed some pillows on the bed and set it as a boundary just so we both could know our lanes here. I stood up and turned off the light as darkness surrounded the room. I had expected him to ask why I did that, but he didn't, and instead he just stood close to the window with a magazine still in his hands. He hadn't turned a single page in nearly twenty minutes, if I'm not mistaken. Not that I'm monitoring his every move; that's just what I had observed. Who reads like that anyway? Unless...he wasn't reading it at all and just faking it just to distract himself. I pulled the duvet all to myself and closed my eyes. After a while, I felt some movements, and I opened my eyes slowly only to see him heading towards the bathroom. Don't tell me he's going to take a bath. Isn't the coldness of this room going to affect him? "Why do I even care? Alana, learn to mind your business!" I hit my forehead before lying on my back. And almost immediately he walked out. Water dripped down from his body with a new set of pants on. Ok, where did he get that from? I watched him dry himself off, and my eyes lingered on his body. His had packs that were intimidating with tattoos clinging on it. A snake tattoo stood out on his back, almost covering everywhere, and that was the Romano's logo. They call themselves the Venom Clan. So yeah, I wasn't just calling him a snake for nothing. There was some on his neck, hands, and chest, and all screamed intimidating. Irritatingly...The i***t was built like he'd walked straight out of a luxury men's magazine. He's well built. His shoulders were broad. His waist is annoyingly narrow. Ugh. Why did enemies have to be attractive? I looked away, telling myself that was okay. The bed deep and he climbed on. So he really meant it. The room was eerily silent that I could hear my heartbeat. For no reason, I didn't feel sleepy anymore. I turned to my right and caught him staring at me. I hissed before turning to my right. "Quit shaking the bed; I'm trying to get some sleep," he said. "Of course you will... because you're sleeping close to a beautiful lady" I scoffed. "Mmm....the infamous Alana Bianchi, is surely thinking so highly of herself. Do you need me to remind you how I view you? If not for the fact that you can speak and move, I would have mistaken you for a mannequin because there's no emotional string and feelings attached" His words stung me hard. I can't believe he will ever beat me at it. Before I could stop myself, I threw the blanket aside with three quick strides; I was on top of him. My knees trapped his waist against the mattress, and my fingers curled around his shirt. Our faces were inches apart. His expression never changed, which only irritated me more. I leaned until our noses almost touched,"Tell me the truth, Romano...." "If I'm just a mannequin then why haven't you looked away?"
