Two months! Two months and it was hell for Alasdair. Anna had been awake for weeks but had not spoken a word. His kids all avoided him like they were repulsed by his sight alone. He was hurt by their treatment but he knew it was something he deserved. The pain he was feeling couldn't be compared to Anna's, who had only been eating liquid food for two months. She was yet to recover from whatever stupor she was in and Alasdair had seen her countless times stare at nothing in particular with her eyes unfocused.
