Team Effort
One nice thing about Thalia Island’s community-based living is people actually behave like we’re all in this together. The newest batch of residents settled in quickly and without drama, and pretty much everyone who isn’t working elsewhere is downtown helping prepare for tonight’s festivities. The cedar picnic tables and benches are up, the recycling and green waste bins are in place, the food tables have been arranged in a U with the grills at their apex, and an eclectic playlist of folk and rock music plays at a respectable volume from bandstand speakers that are just waiting for their chance to show us what they’re made of.
