Twenty-Six The Blue Room We pull up to Finan’s mother’s house in North Vancouver, beyond exhausted. It’s after eight o’clock, long past when we told her we’d be arriving, but after the discovery at the sanctuary, all hell broke loose. Another team was brought in to deal with what is now a crime scene. Rather than send us to the hospital—and risk news leaking about this latest brewing scandal—the regional hazmat team drew blood from Finan and me and Wes onsite. It will be sent to the provincial toxicology lab to test for anthrax, since we handled the letters that we now know are definitely tied to the attack downtown.
