The quiet of the Salamander is a welcome salve to the chaos at Tommy’s. I’m surprised to see Len Emmerich and a few of his guys around a big table in the corner, already three empty pitchers deep. Seems they got an early start on the Friday night festivities. Len bobs his head in greeting when he sees me leaned against the bar, waiting to order much-needed libation.
