Plus-One?
Thankfully, the task of filling the empty council seats does not turn dramatic, nor does it require an election. Mrs. Corwin gets her spot without challenge, though not by dinner as she commanded when she interrupted my lunch break. The other two vacant spots are filled by Dr. Liam Stillson, per pressure from Catrina that he could offer his reasoned, scientific voice, and Lucy-Frank Makamoose, a gorgeous First Nations visual artist with a quiet demeanor and strong ideas about environmental protectionism and reconciliation.
