Dazed, Esther nodded and hurried after Blake, logging out of her bank account and slipping her phone into her handbag. The image of her bank account balance went round in her head. Why hadn’t Elvera cancelled the payment? Would she demand the money back?
Malachi slipped his hand in hers, squeezing lightly before letting go. “It will be okay.”
