I went with him quietly so my brothers wouldn't run interference. I didn't fully feel like talking to him but we needed to deal with this. I sat on the bed and jumped shocked when he wrapped me in his arms. I gradually relaxed and let the stress of the last two days melt. When tears started he just shifted me and clutched me tighter. "I felt helpless" I whispered to him. "I thought I had finally gotten to a good place and it would be ripped from me. My son just gone. I don't know how we would've survived it" he still said nothing letting me get the pain and anguish out. "I should've done this yesterday. I was terrified and compelled to fix it."
