The Dean glanced at Julia, who stood alone, looking pitiful. He pondered for a moment and figured that he couldn’t settle it alone. He picked up the phone and dialed a number. The phone was soon connected. The dean’s voice immediately became respectful, "Hello, I'm sorry to disturb you. Miss Julia has run into a minor problem on campus, and I hope you can take out some time to come over and help settle this.” After hearing the response, a bright smile blossomed across the Dean’s face.
