I woke up feeling exhausted, as if my body had been fighting a battle while I slept. For a few seconds, I forgot everything. I forgot the pack, the moonstone and the impossible things that had happened to me.
Then I opened my eyes and reality came rushing back. I was not waking up in my old apartment. I was not returning to the normal life I had always known. That life felt like it belonged to someone else now.
I was inside a world I never knew existed, surrounded by people who could turn into wolves, people who understood things I could barely begin to accept. A world full of secrets. A world where I still felt like I did not belong.
